Is it weird that Ainge didn’t zoom into press conference introducing the rookies? Am I reading into it too much? He must be real busy with Charlotte to miss a zoom call.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

You have two choices. Heads or tails

If you don't play I give you $100

or

If you do play, and it comes heads you get $500.
If you do play, and it comes tails, you owe me $20.

What do you choose?

If Nesmith is 6'6 then Pritch looks about 6'2. That's a solid size for a PG. Well it's taller than what we usually send out there over the past few seasons.

Definitely. I'm hoping he can fill that Wanamaker role from the get go, especially if Kemba is being load managed and Teague is starting.

PROPER JERSEY HOLD accomplished! No wrinkles.

I was like “did Nesmith take the # he was drafted?” And then realized that he took the # Pritchard was drafted.

Which, incidentally, would’ve been hilarious if Pritchard took #26 and in every interview just talked about how he’s out to “make 25 other guys pay.”

Bingo.

Expected value from the toss is $250. That is better decision than the $100 sure thing.

That is the correct move!

This may have been mentioned somewhere, but I haven seen it so I put it here. In the above clip Romeo mentions his cast comes off December 8th, at which point he will start building up strength in his hand/arm. So it doesn't sound like he'll miss too much of the start of the year, which is good because the C's need wing depth and this is a big year for him.

Didn't see a mention of Kemba probably not playing in the beginning of the season. Unbelievable. I wasn't a member on here during the Allstar break. But was screaming that Boston/Stevens allowed Kemba to play in the Allstar game when he was already struggling with Bad knees. I blamed Stevens and his SOFT approach. He should have demanded Kemba rest/ WRight after Kemba's 30+ min Allstar game ge went on to miss the next 7 regular season games.

Here we are almost a year later and before the season even starts, and he is still "rehabbing" his knees.

I can't help but think Kemba's signing is going to be just as bad, or even worse than Hayward's.

But the flip side is, this should finally put Smart in as the starting PG, period! If/when Kemba comes back let him be a spark-plug off the bench.

Boston's starting unit would also be very strong defensively with a Smart-Nesmith-Brown-Tatum (whomever at center). Unfortunately I just don't have faith in Stevens doing this.

I expect a line-up of Teague and Smart, with Tatum-Brown and Theis. Not that that would be bad, but I can't say enough how NOT playing young players early will stunt their development.

Kemba’s knee would be a chronic problem. He literally had 4 months rest before the bubble, not to mention all those games he missed after the all star, and it still bothered him. It’s not like he had some procedure done to fix that knee. So i think we could expect that to be trouble some moving forward.

That will all depend on Stevens. I hope he gives those two consistent minutes at the start, and not those garbage minutes to end games, which would be a negative for their confidence.

In back to back years, Danny has drafted 6'5-6'6 big shooting guards/wings. Both very different and complementary. Romeo more of a shot creator, playmaker, slasher, while Aaron is a sniper and excellent shooting off the dribble, catch and shoot, off screen, pulling up ect... Just a variety of different skill sets in a 6'6 frame.

Hopefully they can reach their potential with the C's, I wonder how they're going to fit in and complement with both JT and JB now that they are the cornerstones of our franchise. They could potentially be a lethal bench duo in the future or become good starting pieces with JT and JB. Fun.

Also, Bam was drafted 14th overall. So was Romeo. So is Aaron. There is always talent to be had in the late lottery. You just gotta find it.

Kemba (30) | Teague (18)
Brown (20) | Smart (16) | Langford (12)
Tatum (14) | Smart (14) | Brown (10) | Nesmith (10)
Grant (10) | Tatum (20) | Theis (6) | Brown (4) | Semi (8)
Thompson (20) | Theis (12) | Timelord (12) | Grant (4)

Will we go 12-deep? We do know Semi's gonna get his minutes. We have to play Ro-Ro, Boo-Butt, and Aaron. We just have to.

Injuries and load management will happen so everyone will get their opportunity, especially Pritchard who could be this year's Shane Larkin if Kemba misses time.

Just to nitpick, if it isn't a biased coin, expected value is $240 since you have to take into account the possibility of losing $20. Another way of looking at it is 10 wins would yield $5000 and 10 losses would cost you $200. $4800/20 tosses = $240 expected value per toss.
