Nia Long, actress wife of Ime Udoka, went to the same high school as NBA champion Gabe Pruitt, an ex-Celtic.

Hire Udoka, banner 18 guaranteed!

Count me out on Cassell...I don't want anyone near Doc Rivers or this Sixers trainwreck.

Yeah I think Billups has to get at least somewhat of an edge over Cassell because:

a) Cassell was on Rivers staff when the Sixers just lost in the semis as the 1 seed and lost to the 5 seed, losing game 7 on their home court
b) Cassel was on Rivers staff with clippers last year when clippers blew a 3-1 series lead, losing to the nuggets in western conference semis
c) the clippers went from blowing a 3-1 series lead last year in western conference semis (with Rivers & Cassell coaching) to this year beating the top seeded Jazz in 6 games to advance to the western conference finals (with Lue & Billups coaching)
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

How many people here wanted Doc back as coach.

Been saying he is one of the most overrated coaches in the league over the last 15 years.

Doc Rivers owes Danny Ainge millions. Ainge gifted him a championship by putting together a great team with Thibs as the defensive coach. Doc has been riding that title for over a decade.

Been wanting Bucks vs Suns since we were eliminated due to 60% of our starters not playing.

It’s not just the Sixers train wreck. It was the Clippers train wreck too. I smiled when the Sixers hired Doc.

Cassell wasn't the coach. Blaming him for any of Doc's failures makes zero sense. The fact that he's seen what not to do is a major positive on his coaching resume.

The Celtics do not want the best coach.

The Celtics don't want anyone considered to be the best coach available.

If the Celtics wanted to win, the best choice would be Julio Lamas.

Again, the Celtics don't really care about winning, if they did they wouldn't be the mess they are in now where many trades are made just to save money.

Julio Lamas.

Arguably AInge also gave Brad the Ron Adams D as well.Too bad Stevens never got his Thibs/Adams on O.

Cassell was really more of a Saunders/Wittman assistant coach. I'm really not so sure you can attribute direct blame for a blown series on a specific assistant coach, unless the team specifically underperformed in that coach's portfolio of responsibility.

Are you joking? I'm really not so sure that success managing Argentinian and Japanese FIBA players would translate into relating and succeeding with the Jays on the 21-22 C's.
