I think if Lofton made the Celtics I probably wouldn’t watch a single game. Hate Lofton’s game

The difference between Williams and Bassey out there is glaring. Williams is years away from being a contributor. Should’ve just stayed put and took Raynaud

Because I watched my Wembys, I know that at one point I think the team was better on defense with him in than wemby. When I was watching before wemby went down, bassey looked like he could be a solid 3rd big (because of offense).

Have you never seen him play? He's arguably the best passing big from this draft class. Can handle the ball like a guard, can bring the ball up the floor, drive on his man, has some post up moves..good screener..

I can't handle some of the takes on here during the first 5 minutes of a game..I should just stay out of game threads during the 1st quarter of games lol..ya'll are so reactionary.

he's a non threat with the ball in his hands right now, so i don't see any problem with what i said. he can pass, and he can screen. correct. we'll have to see if he can be a good lob threat or at least be able to score in a rob williams type of way -- but even that used to hurt us offensively with that iteration of this team.

haven't seen him be a high enough level defender as of yet. this was the perfect year to draft a dude who was ready to contribute so hopefully he's better than what he's showing right now. he almost looks scared to try and score.

I would hope that’s true with a vet and rookie 2nd round pick.

10 Fouls allowed in SL. Except for the Championship Game.

Walsh with 3 Fouls.

Imagine being 19 years old playing only half the previous game and already getting a day off???? :banghead:

Dallas shut down Cooper Flagg, who is even younger. Gonzalez has just finished the Spanish league season, so we're grateful that he'll play a couple SL games.

So we're going to compare Cooper Flagg and his extremely heavy minutes he's expected to get with a player who may not even play half of his minutes??
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

very unusual prospect.
what is even a comparable type of player? Rob Williams? Royce White? Trevion Williams? less-defense Dennis Rodman?

Trevion williams but in better shape, taller..much better defender.

Oso Ighodaro, but taller, stronger, better rebounder, better rim protector, tougher..

Not everyone needs a player comp. Most players are pretty unique.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

I would hope that’s true with a vet and rookie 2nd round pick.

A vet that’s trying to cling on in the league isn’t a very high bar. Especially given the Celtics current front court depth
