The Corey's wrote:Dwight is only enamored with him self. No surprise there.

I have no problem moving base or lee if the return is a top 15 center. However, I'm not prepared to send a pick towards someone who this time next year will be closing in on a 60 mil contract.

I'm not convinced Asik would still be in Boston to sign an extension.

But how ridiculous is Dwight Howard being spoiled again? Rockets trading for 2 of his former teammates..

Initially Bass, Lee, 1st seems like a lot, but it makes sense for a rebuilding team. You get a starting center. You free up time for Olynyk, maybe even a look at Brooks. And roster\cap space next for all those draft picks we've accumulated. I bet the negotiations left are on which pick, or if Houston can wring something better out of another team.

Have been on board with the idea of Bass/Lee/Clips pick since it was mentioned here 30 odd pages ago..

Bass/Lee would add solid depth for the Rockets, they get the first round pick they wanted so it at least feels like a win..

Meanwhile, with Rondo back and Asik in the fold.. do we become a top 4 seed in the East, still with something like 8 first round picks in the next 4 years AND Humps expiring deal still there as an option

Sorry if I missed this in an earlier post, I've been tied up -- is there any word on which first rounder would be going to Houston (assuming Bass+Lee+1st rounder)?

The NBA is crazy... This reminds me so much of our debacle with CP3 and D West.

Easily a top 5 seed in the East and battling for first in the Atlantic all throughout the year. We're a far better team with Asik on board....& of course Rondo coming back helps and then some. Plus you keep Jeff Green.

& like you said, you still have 8 first round pick in the next 5 years or so...hahahaha

Setup perfectly by you're genius GM, btw

We're a top 5 team in the East right now without Rondo & Asik, I think if you add those two to the equation, we're better than Atlanta. Obviously wouldn't pose a serious threat to Miami or Indy but I think we could be a solid 45-48 win team with Rondo & Asik.

Only around 8 million counts toward the cap... either way he's a valuable expiring next season.

Without a doubt. I just think we'll still be in that fold when its all said and done. I don't see us jumping many teams in front of us that is, that's all I'm saying. C's will be guaranteed top 5 though at the very least.

yep

The thing is resign Bradley to a bargain deal, if Danny gives him 30m$/4y deal, the team future is done, you need to retain Bradley for 5m$/y, and I don't think anybody will offer more than that with the new CBA and all.

Not sure about what seed exactly, but if this goes down, there's no way Brooklyn can catch our record (IMO). With that assumed, who would have thought that after that heist, we would also end up with a better record? Insane!

Yes they will. Bradley is arguably the best on ball defender in the league. People said the same thing about Tony Allen and he walked. You arent getting Bradley for 5 a year.

Imagine if we use the Cavs as the 3rd team and get Waiters back... :D This would be darn good.
Good assessment:

I'm not sure that's entirely possible but that would be epic.

Bass and Lee would make around 12millie this year and next year. NBD. We would make that money up with our run to the 2nd round of the playoffs. :D :P
