Barnes, Juancho to CHI
Simmons, Derrick Jones Jr. to SAC
Jaylen, Bruno to PHI
Bagley, Haliburton, Coby White, Patrick Williams, Kings 1st to BOS

Haliburton/Schroeder/Pritchard
Smart/Langford/White
Tatum/Josh/Nesmith/Williams
Horford/Grant/Bagley
Rob/Enes

We'd have to follow up by dealing some/all of Schroeder/Pritchard/Smart.. but Haliburton is legit, Coby White is finally having some moments in Chicago, Patrick Williams is raw but hugely talented, Bagley worst-case is 11 million off the books next year..

I can't tell if White is finally maturing and capitalizing on his talent or just benefiting from being on a way more talented roster..

Bulls aren't going to give up all three of those guys, Dosunmu looks good as a backup defensive guard, and Atlanta isn't trading Bogdanovic AND Reddish to downgrade on the wing and add Smart.

Talen Horton-Tucker is playing too well the last couple nights for us to get him, but if LA is dumb enough to trade him for Smart, I'd live with all his growing pains and with the bust risk.

Bogi and Gallo. That would be incredible.

We need a PG if they do that trade.

Young enough he might learn to shoot, only 21, superhuman wingspan, liked him in the draft - look up some highlights, he's got a chance to be better than Smart. Marcus is what he is, if you can gamble, do it. This team doesn't need a 28 year old defensive specialist right now, no matter how good his defense is. He's a guy you trade a first-round pick for when you're contending. Not one who's part of your foundation. If you can get anything better than a mid to late 1st for him, hard to turn down. THT? 2 of Reddish/Bogi/1st? Sexton from CLE, routed to a third team?

We're stuck with him, hoping we can get a better point guard when someone else decides to shuffle their roster (Indiana?), which won't happen. So go medium-risk youth or you're dealing him in a couple of years for an expiring, either getting a 1st round pick if you're lucky or giving one up if you're not.

Value looks pretty good to me. Horford and Gallo are a wash, Smart and Bogi are a wash. Swaps our total lack of perimeter shooting with two guys who can hit close to 40% on 3's. We lose defense, but already have enough to compensate on the roster.

You could also try a Delon Wright for Juancho swap to fill in the backup PG slot.

Schroder/Pritchard/Wright
Bogdanovich/Richardson
Brown/Langford/
Tatum/Williams/Gallinari
Timelord/Kanter

Could follow up with a trade for Christian Wood to get more C depth. Or if ATL balk at Wright/Juancho swap, go for Wood/Augustin:

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y5nkdfz8

Gotta use JRich instead of Smart in the trade machine, but still works.

Or I see a lot of Hawks fans looking at Jerami Grant as the answer. Maybe we piggyback off of that and send Smart to Atlanta and try to dump Horford on Detroit and pick up Gallo in the process. ATL pays the price to dump Horford (Reddish/first) and we turn around and use that cap space for more shooters via Houston (Gordon/Wood):

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y4crady3

Horford is ready to fall off a cliff. If we can move him now, we 100% should. I'm a huge Smart fan, but if we want to shake things up (and we desperately need to) he's the odd man out. ATL is perfect trading partner since Trae is a great compliment to Smart's game. They've got shooting, we've got defense and both need to do something/anything.

I’d trade Smart for White straight up. Bigger guard with good shooting. Not a bad defender either.
