Exactly. If we are talking Embiid, you have my attention. I think he's gonna go number 1 in this draft, though, and there is no guarantee of getting that number 1 pick whatsoever. It's not worth trading Rondo pennies on the dollar just to have a 25% chance at MAX to get Embiid. Parker and Wiggins are good, but they aren't worth dropping Rondo. I'd rather have Rondo + Hood or Smart than just Parker or Wiggins most days of the week.

Ehhh not necessarily. This is the day before the deadline. If it were the day of the deadline, and that was the announced lineup, I'd agree.

Actually that doesn't mean that at all. Shumpert looks to be all but a goner in NY, and he is in the starting lineup tonight.

If you think dropping a potential of Rondo and Marcus Smart is worth just having Parker or Wiggins...man, I don't know what to say. In my opinion, these guys are pretty damn good, but they aren't THAT good.

Embiid, though, yeah, I'd listen to that. Problem is the chance of actually getting that one guy is so small, it's not worth losing Rondo for nothing useful. We're still in position to get a decent lottery pick with him so we should ride it out.

The only guys I'm willing to sell 50 cents on the dollar are Green, Bass, Hump, etc. The role players. I want full value for guys like Rondo, Sullinger, Olynyk, and Bradley (maybe not Bradley if we can use him to drop Wallace).

Even with Rondo, we have a good shot at a top 5 pick. Our March schedule is brutal and I can see us shutting Rondo, Bradley and Sullinger down in April in the name of keeping them healthy since all 3 have all been hurt in the last year.

Agree with others who have said trading Rondo to ensure a better pick isn't smart. Our draft position wouldn't change much if we did. Only 3 games in March against non playoff teams, and none of those 3 are tanking. Even if Rondo's dealt, we aren't catching Milwaukee for worst record, probably not Philly either with the way they're playing.

This makes me want to keep Rondo even more.

It's a shame really... I love Rondo's approach, but with the way today's NBA works, recruiting friends, Team USA all being buddies etc, things have changed..

Rondo is awesome and it's telling that guys like Kevin Garnett and Kobe (as much as we might hate him) who are renowned for being THE most competitive, driven guys in the league love the dude

Problem is there doesnt seem to be many younger guys with that same attitude
