More like it's the 2nd year in a row we did not have the assets to carry out our plan.

Maybe you are satisfied finishing in 16t place in a 30 team league where 5-6 teams try to lose on purpose, but I have standards.

Standards that will not be met by barely making the playoffs in a historically weak East with a losing record and drafting 16th.

If we don't make a make any trades this offseason, then don't delude yourselves into thinking any major free agents are coming to Boston. No Aldridge , No Jordan? No Butler, No Love.

Notice I said If we don't sign any major free agent. Emphasis on if. We needed this draft to make our team more attractive for free agents to want to come here. No good free agents is coming to the Celtics to play with Smart, Bradley and whatever rookies we draft.

Well, we got to make trades. If we can't, that's on danny. I think we will be fine. I would stand pat.

I'm going to be upset, legitimately upset if the pick is Portis. I guess I could convince myself his defensive versatility could win out over his lack of athleticism, but I'm not optimistic. Would like Ainge to roll the dice on a player with more upside.

Everyone laughed at Danny's offer to Philly for the #3. I read somewhere else today that he's trying to steal deals with other teams and he's lowballing offers.

Signs are pointing to us having a stingy GM over not having the assets. In fact, I don't believe that not having enough assets to get deals done is the issue at all.
