Dallas is terrible, like the Celtics couldn't have played worse minus Kyrie/Jaylen/Al and are still winning. They were airballing shots, missing badly, terrible defense, like this should be over by now. They are clearly a bottom 3 team.

Also, a 2-3 zone should be broken in 5 seconds. It's the worst defense in basketball. Shouldn't be hard to figure out.

Man, I'm way more mad than I should be over this game, but that was easily the worst Celtics quarter of the season.

You fight the good fight, Cave. I'm taking a break for the day lol. It's hard to deny. Smart was pressing after the first two misses. His half was indefensible. Hope he calms the eff down in the 2nd half.

I have been disappointed in rozier lately, he’s started off good but hasn’t been playing that well as of late. If him and Smart continue to miss a lot of shots we may not have a choice but to make a trade for a shooter off the bench.

If he continued at the pace of 2 points in 7 shots, Smart would need to take 80 shots in the second half in order to catch Irving, assuming Kyrie goes scoreless the rest of the game.

Kyrie is in God mode. The 2nd unit was a momentum killer.
Hope tonight is not the night it's gonna come back and bite us.

That was terrible by Brad you cannot play Nader at all. He's that bad. How can you bench Kyrie and Brown for that long when they destroyed the Mavs in the first. Semi does nothing offensively when I mean nothing like legit nothing the past 6 games. Stevens needs to tell Smart to give the ball to Tatum on offense nearly every play. I don't know if it's about Smart trying to prove he's worth the contract but he can't be shooting that much especially when he's on a new level of struggle of offense. Smart does everything else good to great but the high amount of shot attempts in a short stretch has to stop and kills the momentum of this team at times early in games.

You could find a dude in the local park who has more game than Nader.

We're expected to ignore this bullsh--?

We're up by double digits and watched Marcus hoist brick after brick as Dallas got back in the game... Yeah, nothing to see there...

3rd best player on this team without Hayward.

Maybe if the team was just him and Kyrie and Horford going to a bar. They're the only ones old enough to drink here.

But even then if a assistant coach joined that Scal was talking about they're probably better than Smart so he'd be the 4th best.

Smart has cost himself millions of dollars. Shoulda taken that extension.

Brad is handicapping this team with his extended bench rotations and allowing Smart to control the offense and chuck shots.

Simple as that.

I blame Stevens for Smart. We absolutely 100 percent need Smart. But, Stevens has to either get him shots he can make, or reign him in.

You can’t shoot 28% from 2, 25% from 3 on high volume. It is the worst shooter in the nba, and borderline uncompetitive.

We win because of a lot of what he does. But, when he tries to be a scorer, he hurts the team. He has to be told not to shoot.

It's gotta be in his head at this point. Carlisle is explicitly daring him to do anything. And he still can't.

Man, you're really dug in on Marcus, huh? Or is that just a reaction to the over the top hate for him?

Marcus plays very good on defense and can come up with good plays passing the ball and hustling. I like all of that. When he's streaking it's all good. But he can shoot you out of a game too. Way out.

I thought the same of Antoine. Didn't cry when he left either. Won't cry if Marcus does too. I like him, but if he sat the rest of this game tonight, I wouldn't cry about it.

Mavs have been taking terrible shots and are in the game because Smart is building a housing unit with his bricks. I literally bet teams tell him to shoot you suck and he does anyway..

He's likely desperately experimenting with the second unit in some things he saw in practice.

I mean if you coached Smart you two would look at Nader and think "well he can't be worse can he?"

It's more experimenting and giving end-of-bench guys some burn than about Smart, who got his usual minutes I think. I do want the win, so hope it doesn't come back to haunt us. Mavs got into a rhythm there, shooting-wise.

I don't give a **** about anyone on this team, but the truth is the truth.

We win by clawing at bitches in crunch time.

That is Kyrie and Smart above all.

And posters here aren't just arguing with me on this, they arguing with Stevens.

That's irrefutable.

Dudes need to marinate in that before they come at me.

I think the consensus is that he's great defensively and would be awesome overall if he stopped being aggressively terrible in his shot selection.

The hate goes about 100,000 miles further than that.

I actually love Marcus, but can't understand why he shoots so much.

It's weird.

It really must be that Brad told him to keep shooting, hoping he can shoot himself out of this historically terrible slump. Because otherwise he'd have gotten pulled like 30 times.

Me too. And the price may actually be attractive.
