I'd love to have a center that doesn't instinctively shoot the 3. Force Brad to actually have a lineup with a real big. Hes also a massive upgrade over Theis.

It honestly feels like we're the front-runners for him. At this point, why not? Rob can't play 48 minutes and if Drummond SOMEHOW gets back to his old-self then we have one of the better center combos in the league. As far as I'm concerned, we're in the "throwing **** at the wall" phase.

I’m all in on this. Drummond would automatically be our best centre.

If Danny turns Theis, Teague, TT and Green into Drummond, Fournier, Wagner + a "well-rested" Romeo, I'll be happy indeed.

Drummond would be a upgrade to Thompson and the team can keep developing Rob without relying too much on him.

   I know it's crazy but I've always wanted Drummond on the Celtics. Wagner too. And I love Time Lord.

This would be a really solid center rotation. Good luck and take care, TT, Tacko, and Theis. Nice knowing you.

People are complaining about getting Drummond and I am not a huge fan but in the playoffs the Celtics are going to need TT, RW3, Drummond, G Williams and Wagner.

I hope Drummond picks Boston. Not worried about who starts. RW3 is going to get a ton of minutes

My 10 year old, just started playing AAU. Had his best practice tonight. I come home and watch Boston win vs the Bucks. I haven't been this Happy in a while. It is amazing how BB can set my mood for good or bad so easily.

BB is definitely my drug of choice. and Now I am so high 8-)

There is one benefit on taking Drummond that I haven't heard mentioned much. Getting him will keep him away from the Nets. why does that matter? Maybe the Nets play Philly and Drummond at minimum is a good 6 extra fouls vs Embiid.

I wouldn't mind RW, Drummond splitting all center minutes for Boston

Exactly. We just played Tacko actual minutes. Cant rely on perfect health. If he wants to come here you absolutely take him

My thing with Drummond is I get it and I get the allure of him on a minimum but hate hate hate promising starter roles to him especially if timelord deserves to start. We did that with TT and honestly he doesn’t deserve it and now we do that with Drummond immediately?

I understand he’s a former all star and it’s the minimum but just handing him a starters role off the bat sets a bad precedent imo that we are trying to get away from. Pritchard played his ass but brad would still play Teague, time lord is playing his ass off and we’re just gonna give Drummond the starter role?

Here's my question, what would make Drummond consider Boston 1st?? In theory Boston may be the one team he wouldn't start for.

LAL, Nets, NYK. Unless Ainge made him a promise.

They are gonna promise him he’ll start, he’s an east coast UConn kid, knows kemba and his agent is Jeff Schwartz (kemba’s pierces etc) who has a great relationship with the Celtics

I don't think there is a bigger RW fan on here than me. And I have been screaming for RW to start long before I joined this message board. He deserves it. So I agree. But Ainge may be thinking, I love Drummond, and keeping RW on the bench may help keep RW fresh and healthy as well as keep his future contract from lowing up, maybe..

Not really. I get the Drummond stuff, it’s really appealing and maybe in a new setting and competent coaching and environment he’ll excel.

maybe. Can't imagine Detroit and/or Cleveland was the best place to stay motivated.
