I don't see him leaving LA. But I just thought it was funny because all anyone can talk about is Hayward right now.

We have plenty of "good" assets. We need a great one and that isn't coming from trading down.
Guys like Okafor and Saric don't do much for our championship aspirations.

Not likely.

He doesn't have to. Paul George can guard Durant.
EDIT: I also haven't seen anything legit (yet) about any Griffin rumors, unless you consider Sherrod Blakely speculations legit.

Is it even possible to sign Griffin and trade for George? We would most likely need to decimate our team. Still don't want to give up the #1 pick for him either.

That being said having seen what some fanbases, particularly Philly, are willing to give up for #1, I could see Danny being tempted to go for it all if he's soured on Fultz.
If you can trade back to #3 and get the LAL '18 pick and Saric, which a couple guys suggested they'd be willing to fork over. I can see Ainge being tempted if he's not sold on Fultz. He takes Jackson and then aims to turn one of the '18 picks (LAL or BKN), Saric and some of our other assets into an offer worthy of Butler or George (maybe not this summer, but potentially mid-season).
You come away with a top 3 prospect in this draft, a star player AND you've still got an strong '18 pick.
Would Bradley, Saric, Yabs, LAL '18, MEM '19 not be a decent starting point for trade discussions with IND or CHI?
Imagine landing Hayward in free agency, adding Jackson or Fox in the draft, trading for Butler or George during/mid-season?
Still though, just take Fultz. I'm just bored.
Homerclease wrote:Not even close. Nobody has traded down from the top overall pick since Chris Webber and the cost to do that was far greater than any offer I've seen thus far on these forums

Assume Ainge is going to take someone other than Fultz/Ball just as a hypothetical, so it behooves us to trade back to #3 rather than waste #1 on them when they're still available at #3.
What is the package from Philly that you accept?

Simmons and the third pick. Nothing less
