Are you impressed with anyone on either team? I guess Walker has been decent.

Poor decision-making from Team Celtics. Also, Plumlee sucks if you don't already know.

Scheduled post: If Brown's skill level and BBIQ catch up with his tenaciousness, self-confidence, and fearlessness, watch out!

The US team looks unbalanced. Reminds me of the Celtics team from last year. Despite how good they are individually compared to other teams I find it difficult picturing them winning this tournament.

Tatum is playing horrible. Can't defend and can't score anything at all. He looks super slow and nonathletic too.

Tatum has been a disaster. Pressing too much.

Brown and Kemba playing well.

Frustrates me to no end that Middleton is meh vs virtually everyone and Michael Jordan 2.0 vs us.

Don't understand Lopez. If someone explains it to you, explain it to everyone else.

K Walker, blocking shots.

He had a nice pass to Turner, the Pacer who has been the best player for Team USA, but Walker might have 5 assist in 3 games. If he passes like that for Boston, last season will seem like happy times.

J Brown, a travel called. Looked like he traveled on his next three scores, not called. Then the 3 and then the 3-point-play, that was useful but against some crazy players rotating and falling over. He won't be playing against Ejim and Heslip in the NBA for easy scores.

Tatum, hard for him to find his game with Chucker Mitchell around. Hardly saw any of Smart, which means few bad shots, but had 3 steals so he can still defend.

Joe Harris now thinks he is Artest. Middleton, looks like an elderly guy who has never played the game before. If the other team wore Celtics shirts, Middleton would score 30.

Ugly smallball. H Barnes at center? Always cheer for the team with Celtics, but that smallball is bad.

Canada just played too many Scrubbs.

It’s going to be interesting to see who can guard 4s in our starting lineup. Both Tatum and Brown with have some problems with big 4s that bang.

Hopefully, teams will have a hard time containing our starting five. Personally I’m looking for more impact this year from Tatum and Hayward. Not expecting too much from Brown other than who he is. And improvements from Brown would be a bonus for me.

This team IMO, will be centered around Kemba, Tatum and Hayward. Guys like Kantar, Brown, Smart, Edwards, Theis, French big man, a will have their moments.

I’m not as bullish on Hayward, though— I think he can be a guy that will have awesome advanced stats, but he needs to be our 3rd/4th option, looking to create more than score. I’d be thrilled if he did 14/5/5 or 14/6/6. I’m not expecting him to score more— he couldnt beat his man off the dribble last year without a pick and he has lost explosion. We also need Tatum to grow into that role to actualize our potential.

I expect big things from Hayward this season. I see him scoring between 16-19 points per game and getting close to an all star level. I expect him to be more explosive than last year and get back to being more aggressive like he was in Utah.

If Kemba can't make the adjustment to dish and defend as needed on a supposedly good team, I can well see Hayward being their best player this season. Certainly likely better than Tatum or Brown--though Tatum and Brown will likely be multiple-time ASs in their careers, they are still very young and learning. And yes, Hayward will be needed to dish and defend on this team, which he is quite capable of doing. I don't expect his scoring numbers to pop especially either--he will likely need to be a wing Horford for them. But if he is really efficient and effect driving, they will have to play him as the complete player that he is.

So what's with Mitchell having the "c" after his name here. Was the talk of Smart and Walker also being captains a cover for Pop passing on Walker for the honor? https://www.usab.com/usavcan

I haven’t been impressed with him in any of these games. Goes double for Joe Harris. I’m shocked he made the team actually.
