The endless parade of GB threads calling them the greatest team of all time based on SRS and regular season scoring margins etc. was absolutely nauseating. I don't even have as much negative feelings about them as some, and I still feel the urge to rub their noses in it.

Never seen a fanbase talk so much before winning anything.

Don’t worry I’ll rub it in enough so you don’t have to

This bubble has taken the normal advantage of the playoffs for the home team away and it's very fun to watch.

Would anyone have predicted a possible Miami finals run against the likes of Houston way back when?

Or the Celtics or Toronto (post kawhi) against Houston? Its compelling.

MIA has the most talented team from top to bottom in the East and is only slightly behind the Clippers overall so why is it surprising to people they're going to the ECF? I don't get it. Butler and Bam are deserved all-stars. They have incredible roster construction around them with easily the deepest bench in the league. I swear people on Celtic's forums only watch the Celtics.

As horrible as that last second loss was, upon waking up today I can only think: at least we’re not the goddamn bucks. Also hah the Lakers lost, **** the Lakers.

The sea is opening up before our eyes and we legitimately have a chance at a title.

Maybe thats why I was so devastated after last game. Forget about it, moving on. Do your job.

This has to help our chances right? If Miami wins we've got to match up with them better than the Bucks right? I know Miami has had our number before and I know we got to beat Toronto first. But things are looking good. Even if a team doesn't win it all, getting to the finals as opposed to conference finals seems like a huge deal for future development and recruitment.

Idk about that. It wouldn’t be easy considering tatum’s inconsistency. Tough series against Miami. We would need everyone to play well.

I'm not laughing at an LBJ team until they are out. I had hope Portland could take them to 6 after their game 1 win but they got back door swept! We had him dead to rights down 0-2 a couple seasons ago, even had him 3-2 but lost the last 2.

I have a little more faith Hou can take them to at least 6 because they beat them bad when the Blazers only scraped by in their win.

I hate LBJ and the Lakers so much, please Hou, shock them and win this series!!

Heat got ballers. Jimmy, Bam, Goran are all clutch and their coach is as good as brad. Not surprised at all they giving the Soft Bucks a spanking.
Also I think the rockets can beat the Lakers if they play to their potential.

It’s the stud Wing Player era. I guess you can say PG too, but Steph is the only star that’s won recently really.

Heat have no need to do that. They have max cap room next summer.

Yes, but if Giannis demands a trade, Heat might need to do it otherwise they might lose their chance.

It took the Bucks 40 years to find an all-time talent after they traded KAJ. Guessing they’d rather go down with that ship and risk losing him in FA for nothing than trade him and guarantee it. At least that path guarantees a chance at a title.

Covington and PJ Tucker are perfect for the Rockets. And not to sound jealous or anything, would be nice to have on the Celtics too.

Also, Grant Williams is nothing like PJ haha. Grant might not have a nasty bone in his body.

Good player, but he doesnt have that alpha in him.

he's definitely an alpha and the best player in the NBA. 30-15-6 with DPOY defense is Wilt type numbers. It's poor roster construction given his current inability to shoot. If he was surrounded by 3 and Ds he could win multiple championships without improving as a shooter. As it stands, if he wants to win in MIL, they need a new G.M. or he needs to really make shooting FTs his number one task this offseason. Unfortunately there really won't be an offseason. But going forward, if he can just work at FTs that'll fix a lot of his problems and should eventually bleed into better 3pt shooting.

I partially agree here. Really the issue is Bledsoe IMO. If they had in his place a PG capable of getting his own shot when the play broke down, someone who could beat his man 1 on 1 in the halfcourt, that might be the missing piece but they don't. Bledsoe kinda sucks. Decent defender but mediocre offensively.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

Exactly. The reality is unless he says outright I’m getting the hell out of dodge- you can’t trade him. The best selling point they have is to try and win It all next season to change his mind. Him not signing the extension is a huge red flag but unless he says I’m leaving
You need to hold onto him.

He’s too good and too generational to let go of. Normally I say trade in the last year but this is different IMO.

I agree with both of you, but alsooooo.... look at what Kawhi did. He threatened to sit out his final Spurs season with a mysterious quad injury that was diagnosed by some third party doctor. Team medical staff didn't agree, but it gave him cover to protect from losing his salary.

It gets ugly fast, and if someone steps up with a legit rental offer, you have to consider it.

But also— look at what Toronto did: they traded for Kawhi who made it known instantly that he didnt want to be there and did not hide for one second his desire to be in LA. They made the move to try to win a ring despite that and certainly dont regret it.

But also also alsooooo... that didn't happen until the Raptors stepped up with a strong rental market offer. Hence the other thread about Jaylen. I think it takes all of these things to happen (doesn't sign supermax, requests trade to preferred team or two, kills other trade offers by saying he won't resign there, refuses to even play for Bucks next year, Celts come strong without guarantee he will stay).

Has Giannis checked out? Wiretap says he's questionable for Game 4.
