But since he has been stashed the whole time, I suppose it's possible that we could maybe use it on him..I'm not sure, I don't have a definite answer but my guess is that we wouldn't be able to use it on guys who got drafted after the rule was put in place.

I also don't think he is ready for the NBA yet. And we have so much depth, it'd be hard for him to ever crack the rotation here.

Not sure if he's injured right now, but if he is healthy then he was a healthy DNP in his team's first game the other day (perhaps not getting mins, on the depth chart behind Shabaz Napier and Carsen Edwards..)

I'm not giving up on him either, but it's not looking good in terms of the chances he plays for Boston.

Crazy how things change. There was once a time when I think you would've said for sure that he was the answer and a better option than Pritchard. Madar remains a curiosity but unfortunately, little more than that.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

Man, I always get fooled into thinking we found gems in the draft (2nd rd) and year after year they are nothing more than yams and beggars…

Yam is alive!

Still pretty skinny. And the competition in this clip isn't great. But Yam can still dribble/pass/shoot, he's skilled offensively, he's quick, knows how to play. I wouldn't close the door completely on the possibility that one day he's a decent backup PG in the NBA.

NOt sure it'll be for Boston though since we have so much depth and talent..not much of a need for him.

As I've said before, I wouldn't be shocked if at some point we include him in a trade and he's finally able to get a shot in the league for some bad team like Utah (danny drafted him), charlotre, portland, Brooklyn, washington, etc.

Or he just stays overseas and has a solid career there - no shame in that.

I just don't know. At this point he may only be a yam-and-egger

Yam Madar is the Ben Pepper of Josip Cesar’s and I hope he fulfills his parquet promise someday!

His three point shot is down this year but he’s had four years of ~.400 3PT shooting.

Looking this over he’s actually become very efficient shooting-wise and his assist rate has climbed way up. Big issue outside of his overall physicality question seems like his turnover rate is the one glaring negative statistically otherwise it’s improved dramatically since he was drafted.

He is a lot better than JD. The competition level is way better
He leads one of the best teams in Israel, plays in the European cup and plays well. He improved his decisions, shot making and defense.
He is a bit skinny but he has that dog mentality
Will he come to the NBA? - I doubt it. But so does JD

He's listed as 6'2" and 180lbs. That seems generous. Looks like the smallest player on the court in those clips, and is same build as he's been for the past 3 years. Pritchard would body him right off the court.

This is low

Sinéad O'Connor (1966–2023) was an Irish singer-songwriter known for her powerful voice, emotional intensity, and fearless activism. Rising to global fame with her 1990 hit Nothing Compares 2 U, she became a distinctive figure in music, blending rock, folk, and soul with deeply personal lyrics. Throughout her career, she openly addressed issues like child abuse, mental health, and political oppression, often facing controversy—most notably for tearing up a photo of the Pope on live television in protest of abuse within the Catholic Church. Despite struggles with mental health, she remained a passionate artist and advocate. On July 26, 2023, she was found dead at her home in London at the age of 56. Her passing was mourned worldwide, with tributes celebrating her artistic brilliance, unflinching honesty, and lasting impact on music and social activism.

True. And I've been a fan of Sinéad since The Lion and the Cobra.

Well, she did have a good sense of humor, and hopefully Yam does too.

Can he defend at the NBA level? That's the question with Madar.

Well he is a great defender at the European level.
And as Pigeon has said, he has that dog mentality.
The guy played visibly injured against Maccabi Tel-Aviv and was the main reason Hapoel had won.
He also had two great, momentum changing blocks, in the span of a few minutes.

I think that he also improved his vision and passing skills.

Yam has changed Hapoel's season completly since he had joined from Bayern.
Patrick Beverly was dropped because of him.

Garbanzo, do you information as to what Yam Madar earns as a salary at Hapoel?

Edit: I googled and it told me that he makes $1.2 million.
