No kidding. I was always surprised he never opted to get surgery on that

Respect!
Thank You.

Was thinking the same. Or, even if no surgery is required, at least he gets to rest it for a while.

Won’t matter for Boston. There’s a better chance they run it back than blowing it up and tanking. I don’t think either happens but we’ll see.

KP is unreliable and rarely available. Horford is 40 when JT comes back. JB is trick-or-treat and overpaid. Jrue is getting up there in age and is also overpaid for what they use him for. Not sure what you want them to hold on to. This was never a long window to begin with considering the financial implications and CBA restrictions. Owners got an earlier out with the Tatum injury. Perfect time to do a soft rebuild.

Kobe came back from the Achilles to shoot 37% and 35% in consecutive seasons. That wasn't the Kobe Bryant I remember. Not sure what you're talking about. If there's an example of someone coming back successfully after this injury, it isn't Kobe.
KD is the best-case.
Luckily Tatum tore his right Achilles like KD, not left like Kobe (assuming that's what it is)
Why does it matter which one? Just curious.

Far from a medical expert and a complete guess.
I think it’s due to right handed players tending to jump off their left leg, so hopefully would not lose as much lift.

Hope to see JT back better than ever in a year or so (whenever he is ready). Wishing positivity to Tatum, his family, and C's nation. I know what our stars have meant to us in the past, so it's heartbreaking to see.
