Funny about Reid he is in the same situation that Porzingis was in when they landed Porzingis.

Nothing against Hunter and he’s a good young player on a decent contract. But there’s something to messing with chemistry. When they traded for him it wasn’t like they went on a huge tear because of it. Does Niang and Levert change the outcome for the Cavs this round? No way to know. I just think those two played a role the last two seasons for the Cavs when it came to depth.

It's over for Cavs, they are 0-2 and looks like mobley and garland aren't coming back soon enough.

Nesmith looks like a missed opportunity for us. We could use a 3-and-D guy like him. He brings toughness, grit. Would he evolve to who he is now in Celtics? I don’t know.

I thought that was a bad trade at the time. Lavert and Niang always seem to play well when I watch.
Lavert based on positive impact Was arguably the best player involved in that trade

Yeah, I am bummed we let him go. At the time it seemed like a good move though. Also in a way lead to acquiring Holiday.

But given the lack of opportunity he got here, will he be the same player today?
I doubt it
Still, a missed opportunity and I would love the current version on our team

Speaking of Nesmith, he made Atkinson look bad.

Inside the NBA guys and ESPN guys are talking about why the Cavs didn't box out.

With Ime and Joe maybe Nesmith doesn't reach his potential here. I have campaigned for developing young players since the dawn of time. One step back gets you 2 steps forward. Rick Carlisle saw the potential in Nesmith as well as a few other young players. I also was screaming to go after Carlisle bigtime after his departure from Dallas. Hearing he wasn't even contacted by Stevens/Boston. Imagine Boston having Carlisle the last 4 seasons instead of 2 "brand new first time coaches" to experiment with.

In fact, should Boston fall short of a title and continue to play this uninspired dumb Basketball that limits ball moving/cutting and player Movement with a ton of settling for 3s, I say we go after Taylor Jenkins as top Priority. His teams uses the type of system that I think Boston would excel in. He has taken a bunch of late or undrafted players and made them productive. Imagine what Jenkins can do with this roster.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Steph Curry out for Game 2 and expected to miss at least a week with hamstring strain.

Per NBA.com: Tyrese Haliburton is now 10-for-11 on game-tying or go-ahead field goals in the last 2 minutes this year – 90.9%

And yet he was voted overrated by some n. B a players. Why? I always believe larry bird was an entire level above magic johnson and why I believe a player should be measured in what they do when it matters most not regular season accumulation stats.

Road teams are 5-0 so far in the second round. Crazy.

Still confident Cs will take game 2, but OG should be a marked man.
Cavs are done. Pacers have been the best team in the playoffs so far.
Wolves got lucky with the Steph injury.
I still think OKC takes Denver in 6. Game 1 loss felt like a fluke.

Steph missing a week means he returns in Game 6, the earliest, or Game 7.

OKC is legit and probably will be for 8+ years
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
The age of OKC is dawning. I wish we had won 1 more in 2022 or 23.

What OKC has that other teams don't have is discipline on offense.

They don't force shots.

A great defense and an efficient offense is why they won 68 games.

Our Celtics are undisciplined on offense.
Too many home run shots or going for heat checks.

The Celtics gagged. Can’t win when you don’t hit your shots.

Return to Boston Celtics
