Al can go wherever his heart desires. EXCEPT LAL.. If he does, he is DEAD to me.

He won't be dead to you. Without Al, there was no way we win a title in 2024. Remember who was our only big in the playoff run with KP out? Al, that's who.

Kornet didn't play in about 33% of those games and when he did, he only played 10 minutes a game.

Al was our only big in the 2024 playoff title run.

Simons to Chicago for Dosunmu and Collins.
Simons and Davison to Kings for Monk and D Carter

Don't see a huge market for Simons.

It was bad enough Al left for Philly. Al to the Warriors or Lakers will literally kill me. He's my favorite Celtic post-KG aside from Smart.

So what?
We had 4 centers last season and he is better suited to Denver than Valanciunas

Tax!

Denver is already in 1st apron territory.

And we all know Denver balked at paying their key bench players after winning a chip in 2023.

Don't see a huge market for Simons.

Simons to Dallas for Klay and a 3rd team eating Naji Marshall in a TPE for free?

I hope Stevens calls Joe Dumars and Nico breakfast lunch and dinner just to check in if they want to do something stupid that day.

Simon says...

Some of you guys are rushing to trade Simons when the Celtics have until Feb. 2026 to do that.

Luke is gone and the Celtics are still in the 2nd apron.

So the Celtics don't really need to do anything except try to bring back Al.

Game 5 against the Knicks is what happens when the 3s are falling for the Cs.

Game 6 against the Knicks is what happens when the Cs are not making their 3s and they don't have that dynamic scoring guard to provide offense.

Simons will be what Kemba was to the Cs in 2019-20.

Until the deal is finalized he'll be in every trade scenario :D

Who wants him traded faster, the posters or Pritchard ?

He will not affect PP.

Simons is a SG.

Yea, I think the Warriors make the most sense or Houston. I'd even say Houston.
Good assessment:

Naji should be KEPT in this case.

I still think that a Gafford/Naji swap for Simons makes sense in all directions personally. Sheds another 4.2 Million in payroll for the Celtics and adds 2 starters to the team. Still need a starting PF, but you can make it work with starting one of Sheierman, Hugo or Hauser and slide Naji to the starting PF spot.

White/Pritchard
Brown/Sheirman
Marshall/Hugo
???/Niang/Minot
Gafford/Queta/Garza

If you don't keep Naji you can duck the tax this season. I think you can keep him but you've got to get rid of Hauser or Niang plus a lot of back-end of the roster, neither of which are worthwhile.

Keep Klay, hopefully flip him in the future, but in the interim he helps you duck the tax and is actually a decent fit.

Simons to WAS for Holmes+OIynyk+2nd rounder

Holmes contract is only 250.000 USD guaranteed, so we can shed 12 mio... But this could go through end of August only since Olynyk was just traded and he can not be in a multiplayer deal...

Return to Boston Celtics
