Great night:
- BRK game over after 1st quarter
- DAL lost, HOU won, UTA won(+20 with quarter to go)

Now if MIA somehow loses at home and GSW in SAS (because with record gone, maybe they rest starting five last game and MEM can sneak a win in GSW)

Utah pulls away in the third.

Trey Lyles looks very good. He might have the perfect game to compliment Gobert. You have to wonder if Utah considers moving Favors to let those two thrive together.

Houston win.
Dallas L.
Utah win? Probably a check, up 20 on the Nuggets.
Brooklyn L. Down nearly 30 in Indiana. I think it's pretty safe to say
If Orlando beats Miami and Toronto beats NY it would be one of the most perfect basketball days ever. Hopefully Golden State beats San Antonio to take away that undefeated home record so they don't break the Celtics record. That would be icing.

Btw how HUGE is that Dallas v Utah game going to be now? Massive.

Edit: The homie Klemen beat me to it. lol..dude is the ultimate poster on anything related to these draft picks.
WHAT THEY GON’ SAY NOW? ‎ THANK YOU TRUTH!

I would still feel a lot more confident if Phoenix just goes ahead and beats Sac, 2 games left each after today...

How often do you see teams trade established players in their prime? Time for Ainge to really start making those draft picks count.

I think I'm the only one who wants the Spurs to break the record. I really like the Spurs and think it would be cool if they got the record.

Wait, if the Spurs beat GS today then all motivation for GS is gone for the remainder of season? Go Spurs! <Memphis plays GS in final game of season>.

But who is the KG in this situation? We got KG because all of the stars aligned to make a trade work. Free agency is a different beast.

There's a ton of potential "Ray Allen" moves out there. That's the easy part.

I understand your logic, but then you have to start somewhere and it is likely not going to be say KD without somebody in the fold. I have to be honest that I am lukewarm at best with Horford. I don't really see the attraction. But if you sign him near the MAX and it brings in KD, because he loves him, I'm all in. I like Love better than I do Horford - but if you get Horford without burning that pick and you attract somebody else, I'd rather do that.
So the Ray Allen part to me, is critical to get the process going. You need to pick that player with some insight that is happening behind closed doors as to who would want to play with what players.

I don't see Horford being that piece who brings Durant to Boston. How is Horford any different than Ibaka, pretty much the same player. The piece who could lure Durant into coming to Boston would have to be a top 10 player.

The only reason I mention Horford is there are reports the two want to play together - how true it is I don't know. I certainly agree I'd want more of a legitimate star player.

Well I'd say you're not the only one -probably lots of Laker/Knicks fans are with you. Since the Celtics own the record, I'd like to see the Spurs lose

Don't know about GS losing all motivation if they lose to Spurs. One more win would tie them with Bulls for record. That seems worth playing hard for, no? In any case, I'd rather have Spurs lose to preserve the Celts share of the best all-time home record. That 1986 team deserves whatever footholds in history it can keep.

Spurs are about to break the Celtics record of 40-1 at home.

Rather the Warriors take the Bulls record than they take ours.

I suppose it's time to bump this, from the first thread:

Antti22 wrote:This Celtics team you got is not very fun, so I understand that it might be your only hope. But still, I will make a bold prediction and am open to a sig bet that Nets will not finish worse than 3 games behind the Celtics at the end of the season AND the Celtics will miss the playoffs (and so will Nets). I have them both finishing around 32-35 wins.

When are you changing your signature? And do you still think Brook Lopez and Thad Young are better than IT?

Warriors - Spurs 35 apiece at the half. Neither team playing well.

Just for lulz:

Antti22 wrote:Not saying Nets are world-beaters, not close to that, we are a bad team this year and can hope at the very best for 8th seed and first round exit, probably not even that, but its not like Celtics are that much better. They highly overachieved last year when noone was expecting anything from them, but the reality is that talent level on that team is very low and you are where you are only thanks to your coach who got those scrubs playing nicely together with relentless energy. Yes, you can harp on Celtics having tons of draft picks, but most of the time fans highly overvaluate them, reality is that last I heard, you tried packaging 4 of those picks to get the number 9 pick in the draft, but no luck... How are those draft picks gonna get you a superstar then if it cant even get you Justise Winslow on draft night? You got hope, but that is mostly all that draft picks tend to be, getting a good player with them is a whole other story. Like previously talked about, YOUR BEST PLAYER, is a draft pick number 60. Out of all those high draft picks you got, number 60 will probably be your best for few more years. By all that, the best you can hope for is probably a threadmill team of 6-8 seed in the east for next 5 years, I hope you are happy with that. As a Nets fan I am facing down the same barrel and probably similar result, just a different way of getting there.
