Re: Anthony Davis Trade Thread Shimmies to #8
Jaylen Brown is not a good value for Anthony Davis. Even though Jaylen outplayed Jayson during the regular season, and the playoffs, Jayson is seen as the one with a higher potential/value.
You can make case a case for trading Jayson Tatum for Anthony Davis straight up. The same can't be said for Jaylen Brown. His value as a player is not that high. I am just pointing out why the pelicans would prefer Jayson Tatum. That is all.

I could honestly see the Wizards being strong armed into giving up Beal to appease Rich Paul. Not sure why but Klutch and LeBron seem to have a lot of power where people will always go out of their way to help LeBron

Basically eliminates these other pretend all star guys like Gordon, Lavine etc.
I think it makes sense for all sides actually. The Wizards could get #4 & Lonzo. Tank this year, get another top-5 pick next year. Trade Wall. Start fresh.

AD is going to be a Laker
That's just my feeling and if anything has taught me over the years...whatever sources are saying the opposite will happen.

I just wanna see y'all creativity.
Brown/Hayward/Horford/AD is a good base. What do you have for the rest of the roster?
I don't think Pels get both Tatum and MEM pick. If it's Tatum I'm guessing something like Tatum, Smart, Yabu, Semi, #14 and our protected 1st next year.
Re-sign Rozier and Morris. Draft by need with the remaining two picks (let's say KP Jr. and Bol according to some mocks). Sign Rondo for MLE.
Then in season throw the motherload at WW for Beal. Brown, Rozier, MEM pick, RW III, guy(s) you draft this year.
Rondo, Beal, Hayward, AD, Horford
Morris, Baynes
Filling the bench could be a bitch if we don't do it right away with some vets in the summer. Maybe some buyouts, maybe trade Morris for two guys or something.

My read is that they want nothing to do with Ball and Ingram and the Lakers don't either. I am not sure that Kuzma moves the needle that much as that NOLA doesn't really like the Lakers assets.
Seems the best NO can get from LA is picks #4 & #6 (Lonzo dealt to PHX), and guys a level below Smart. Unfortunately for LA, this draft sucks, and Ingram's health is very questionable.
To be honest when I read the piece about the Lakers and Pelicans shopping #4 for a veteran star I became pretty sure that Griffin is just jerking the Lakers around and knows nobody is going to help them and doesn't really want them to. He will decide if he wants to take Boston's offer or he will hold on to Davis a little longer and see if he can put something else together.

Take out the Memphis pick, Tatum, one of Brown, or smart, kings pick is a fair offer.

Don't care for Rozier really.
Becomes close to mandatory that we keep him if we part with Smart and/or lose Kyrie. Last season was a joke from him, but he established a good baseline in the two previous years.
I think it's 90% certain that he's back as long as Kyrie's gone. With or without Smart, Danny is re-signing Rozier. At the very least, you have additional salary for a midseason trade. If it works out, you have a decent enough starting PG for the playoffs like two seasons ago.
I just don't care that he's back lol.
If you sign Rozier this offseason, you can't trade him all year.

Yeah, I don't see LA, Rich Paul and LeBron getting much help here. I suspect Ainge will try to pull a Brown, Smart, and either Horford or Hayward going to a 3rd team, for AD & S. Hill...
Pairing AD, Tatum & Conley, with either Horford or Hayward, could be the grand plan...

Why not?
I thought the restriction is only upto mid-December or mid-January, can't recall specific conditions.

Well sources right now are all saying it'll be the Lakers. Amick today on podcast with Howard Beck said he already sees AD in a Lakers jersey

They don't you perceive it because of how they have strong armed the Heat, Cavs, and Lakers when James is there. The rest of the league doesn't really give a ****. That is what is causing the problem here, they think they have leverage they don't have because not every other franchise in the league sells its soul to have Lebron James on their team. Honestly even Miami wouldn't put up with his crap which is why he ended up back in CLE.

Re: Anthony Davis Trade Thread Shimmies to #8
Anyone else just a little bit grossed out by the fact that we're trying to sacrifice players who want to be here (Tatum, Brown, Smart) for two moody little malcontent bitches (Irving and Davis) who don't really want to play the game to win?
I admire Ainge's win at all costs mentality, but as a fan I don't want players who don't want to be here, who always have one foot out the door looking for a bigger better deal.

Agree.
No one is going to help the Lakers. In fact, I think FS1 has a good point about it saying do they ha e the ability to do something complicated. That front office is so destroyed, they might not be able to pull this off.
This is about connections and Being creative.

Tatum, and one pick. Losing one of Brown or Smart will hurt especially if it ends up being a rental. Tough call to make. However if it makes kyrie to re-sigm you have to think about doing it.

It’s most likely a rental. I can’t stand the nba these days. Nobody wants to stay in their respective teams.

Re: Anthony Davis Trade Thread Shimmies to #8
If I'm Danny I'd go at Washington with Brown/14/future C's pick top 5 or 8 protected for Beal and then make the Pels beg me or flat out keep Beal.
Good assessment:
PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.
