He was in the Smart passing compilation zoya posted in some thread somewhere. Maybe that was it? I remember being surprised seeing him and thinking, “oh yeah, we did have him play at some point. That was nice.”

According to this chart the Celtics rank about average in man games lost, but they rank second to Toronto in projected wins lost due to injury. This means the players out for Boston are core contributors.
Beyond that, what this chart does not measure is key players playing while injured, which seems to be happening more than usual this season.
(They must not be counting something with Golden State such as players out for the whole season, as the Warriors have obviously lost more games to injury than anyone.)
