Yes.

It is always being compared to that other basketball team from the area. They are good, have been for a while, and other teams struggle to get anywhere near them for success.

That perceived need to reach that level makes other teams do crazy things, spending all their money or trading all their picks.

Instead of trying to be as good as the Harlem Globetrotters, the other teams need to just focus on themselves and building winning rosters and staff the correct way and not the quick way. Trading your entire future for Eddy Curry or Jason Terry, it doesn't work.

While we grieve for the mess that is the Nets, here's some comic relief (sort of) courtesy of Draymond Green.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/28852448/warriors-draymond-green-slams-charles-barkley-threatens-take-analyst-job

"Barkley should stop before I go take his job, though," Green said after Friday's practice. "Because I can do that well, too. He already didn't make enough money playing, so he needs that job. He should stop talking to me. I'd like to -- [I have] a tendency to end people, so he should stop before I take his job."
(...)
"I don't give a damn about what no fans think [or] who they put the blame on," Green said. "A lot of people can't even talk to me about basketball. They're not smart enough."

...says the man who "accidentally" shared a photo of his bicoloured penis on social media.

Durant and Mark Jackson share an agent. And of course Jackson used to play in New York. It would be awesome if Jackson wound up as the Nets coach, for two reasons:

1. He's about the worst coach who'd plausibly be hired.
2. It would get him off the air for a while as an announcer.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indiana Pacers point guard Malcolm Brogdon will be out indefinitely with a torn left hip muscle, the team announced Saturday.

He is listed as week to week.

Brogdon left Wednesday’s game at Milwaukee with a sore left hip, did not return and missed Friday’s game at Chicago.

It’s yet another blow to the Pacers, who played without Doug McDermott (sore right big toe) on Friday and already have lost Jeremy Lamb with season-ending injuries to his left knee. Two-time All-Star Victor Oladipo also has missed four of the Pacers’ last six games with lower back and right knee ailments.

He can't even sniff Barkley's jock, let alone carry it. I'm surprised Green doesn't catch more grief for chasing away Durant.

Benedict Alford, who didn't play poorly although a third of his production was in the first minute of the game, lost to Mulder and Scully of the Warriors.

Who knew? You can pay Horford and Toby Harris $300million but nobody wants to watch them, and they can't win.

The Warriors start walk-on Toscano-Anderson. Mulder had 15 points.

How bad is Boston's coach?

Knicks, beat Houston, use Randle and Taj and Robinson.

Now, Hornets start center Zeller and two power forward tweeners Bridges and PJ and beat Houston.

Memphis won't fall into lotto? Very sad. Very funny too. Portland, San Antonio, bad teams now. Only Vlade Divac or Zion can get close to Memphis?

If the NBA forced Detroit to play home games with zero fans, would you really notice a few more empty seats?

Let's get Romeo and the Williams brothers back out there so the C's can put this thing away!

I wanted him with the Romeo Langford pick. Then the Williams pick and the Edwards pick. Then I wanted him with the Waters pick. When he didn't get drafted or even signed after I figured he was just **** toast from the knee injuries or something. Currently there is no room for him, and if he's choosing where to go he'd probably want to pick some thin, young team as opposed to a juggernaut like the Celtics.

Memphis is taking all the high upside reclamation projects lately. Josh Jackson, Bruno Caboclo, now Porter.

You could count Winslow in there as well.
