And prior to joining the Celtics, he was one of the most durable players in the NBA.

Good thing the rookie might get a lot of burn.

Stem cell therapy is unproven and may just give placebo effect, although I’m no expert. I’ve had friends at gym shell out big bucks for it and it seems like a waste of time and money for regular folks. For an elite athlete.....maybe it’s worthwhile. To me it means his knee is bothersome with tendinitis or arthritis. The forced rest will be good for him.

This will limit him and may cause him to miss games or come up short at times. He was still very effective in our playoff run but he needs for someone (?Brown) to force him into 3rd option if we want to win a title.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

We really need another wing type player. Not getting another one without Langford and Kemba early is crazy. Especially with covid players are likely to miss games. Makes zero sense to me to not add some depth

What are the covid replacement rules? Feel like the Evan turner thing has more juice than just being a player development coach.

Teague is fine, I like the move because he brings something sorely needed to the bench. But I love the Thompson signing so much. I know people talk about the Kardashian ****, but he’s a CRAZY hard worker, plays physical, is extremely respected across the league, and sets some mean ass screens.

The problem would be if his knees becomes a chronic problem, then he would continue to struggle offensively, thus making him unplayable.

People wanting Nesmith to start or have a Herro like impact are way too pollyanna imo.

Rookies rarely have that sort of impact. If it happens it will be a nice bonus. But I would not count on it.

Yeah, he'll have done a lot if he even cracks the rotation. Tough for a rookie wing to not be a major liability and he'll have the added obstacles of no summer league and a condensed season/training camp.

It’s funny, TT’s game is complete opposite of the persona of a kardashian or a reality star. My wife was asking about this and doesn’t really know and I had to explain to her no Tristan is a dog, blue collar, scrappy, hard working defender and we are gonna love him.

To me it's about balancing the lineups. A 3&D rookie will be much more successful in a lineup with Smart/Tatum/Brown/Theis who already know what they're doing out there. He can focus on spacing / shooting / D and that's it. If he's out of place on D, they'll help him, etc. Then keeping Grant or other options on the bench help that unit as well. Having all new guys, rooks and sophs in a lineup would be rough. Obviously, you can stagger, but if you're starting the 5 that most know what to do, you're creating holes in the bench.

It doesn't seem unrealistic to expect a lottery pick to be able to get 10-12 mpg (total - small stretch starting each half) and just shoot the thing and stay in front of his man.

Ah, but hope springs eternal!

People talk about Herro like he had an all-time rookie season. He was a negative player overall by any metric and for all the talk of his shooting prowess, he scored less efficiently than the league average in his rookie season.

Agreed. I think he's a player for sure, and one with a bright future. B

But he went from written off slightly pre-draft due to bad measurements to overrated pretty fast. People in trade convos are acting like he's a surefire all-star.
