Tatum, J. Brown, and Smart seem to have worked out well for us.

We should have just stuck with them, from the get-go. And saved the Celtics $350M. IJS
I don't think that we need to Trade for any other NBA Star. Not then. Not now.

In fact, I think that most of the Guys on the Roster now, that we Drafted, are pretty good.
Let's roll with what we got. It's been working.

Rozier too. GWill is a keeper off the bench in a Swiss army knife agitator role. Nesmith has exceeded expectations for some considering his limited experience. Pritch is a baller. Add them with your list and supplement the roster with appropriate additions and let it roll.

If we can't get a better Starting PG, then we go with Smart, Pritchard, Madar, and Draft a PG as a Two-Way.

M. Brown is Guaranteed $500K this year. He's been on Two-Ways for the last 2 years, and was later Converted.
I say, make him a Two-Way at the Start of the Season. And Convert him to a Regular Contract, if he pans out.

He could end up getting a much better contract than he has now.
I think that he'd make that gamble on himself.

Proposed Roster, 2021-22:
Starters: Smart - J. Brown - Fournier - Tatum - R.Williams
Rotation: Pritchard - Langford - Nesmith - Parker - Horford
Reserves: Madar - ????? - ????? - G. Williams - Kornet
Two-Ways: Draft #45 (PG) - M. Brown

So that guy who had 20/20 against on a 2 way. I don't see it. It won't even get to that. When we see him play in the summer and in camp, it'll be moot. He'll be in the rotation. In fact he'll be playing all summer getting in tune for the season.

I'd LOVE to see that!!!

 maybe stevens can add a few more athletics forwards to the roster too. Watching the playoffs, I see a lot of young talents that could play for us the Nets had a kid with dyed hair on Tatum who would bechelpful. The Suns had that Cam kid who lite up the 3Q yesterday. Something along these lines mixed in with the vet bigs. All the PO teams have this kind of mix. That's a path we've avoided a bit.

Wonder what people think of Harry Giles.. had a really disappointing year in Portland after a great preseason. Still fouls a lot, jumpshot in progress, but has demonstrated rebounding, post scoring and passing in Sacramento.

I would be 100% in on these inexpensive choices. Frankie Smokes obviously has experience playing with Fournier if we keep him but he's a big guard. And I still think Giles is somewhat untapped potential.

Ntilikina is ruined by the Nicks. He’s shown really good potential but he somehow turned out as a bam. The guy needs a move. Can we get him on the cheap ? Smart, ntilikina and PP feels like a good combination of PGs. Vet min or 2way for the fourth spot and we’re set.

I think he'd slot in at the taxpaper MLE which is around 5.9M. Maybe 2 years.

He has an 18M cap hold right now. If they don't make his QO (8.3M), he becomes unrestricted. They have a ton of space even if they do that And I don't think anyone will outbid the QO. But I wonder if they don't have bigger fish to fry with their money than to pay a backup 8.3M that they probably have no intention of resigning. Especially if they can get one of the big name free agent PGs this offseason. Hell I would not be surprised if they tried to take Fournier from us.

Yes, Rozier was a good Draft, too.
We Did the Sign & Trade, and ended up with Kemba.

Our better Drafts, by year:
2014 -- Smart
2015 -- Rozier
2016 -- Brown
2017 -- Tatum
2018 -- R. Williams
2019 -- Langford & G. Williams, (Edwards, Waters)
2020 -- Pritchard & Nesmith, (Madar)

Oh, yeah, didn't realize the QO was so high. I doubt they tender that.

Yeah, they're gonna go after Lonzo first and if they don't get him, Lowry or Paul. And I think Derrick Rose is a good bet to return so they're either going to extend him or let him walk and I think they let him walk over investing longterm in here or dealing with the foolishness that comes with making a QO and seeing if someone makes an offer that they'll have to decide to match or not.

Are you suggesting that a starting 5 of Rozier, Smart, Brown, Tatum, RW3 with Olynyk and Grant as stretch 4s and 5s and Langford, Nesmith backing up the wings and Pritchard and Madar the guards would be interesting? Free agent Big Al as glue guy and mentor?

I agree.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Something like that.
Smart as the 6th-Man, Horford as a Bench 4. We do still need a Starting 4.

Could add Edwards, as a way to get rid him.

I think you need a 3rd team. CHI already has bigs in Vuc, Thad. PAt Williams, Aminu at 3/4. Theis/Markannen as possibilities.

A telling take from JT:

“I’m just going to go with it,” Tatum said. “Obviously it’s a change going from my coach to being in the front office. Seeing him in a different lens. But it’s the business of basketball. It happened and you gotta keep going.”
