Right.

Replace Wiggins with Draymond and you have a deal.

I keep forgetting that Wiggins has been much better this season.

That's mostly the doing of the system he plays in and how he's being used. I think he'll be back to being an inefficient chucker with meh defense if he's with the Cs.

Barnes/Harkless

Horford/Len

Smart/Mitchell

Buddy/Mitchell
for
Horford and Schroder

IMO, makes sense.

Sacramento flips Holmes or Thompson to a team for a SF/PF
Al gives them vet mentorship, solid play
Schroder gives them replacement bench scoring

Fox/Schroder
Haliburton/Davis
Barnes/Harkless
trade/Bagley
Horford/Len

Smart/Mitchell/Pritchard
Buddy/Richardson/Thomas
Brown/Nesmith/Romeo
Tatum/Grant/BolBol
Timelord/Kanter/Bruno

Makes sense if you’re Boston lol.

Sacramento just drafted Mitchell in the lottery and now they’re trading him for…Horford and Dennis?

Yea, just sigh. There's fairness then there is this dude's trades. The Kings need to upgrade their talent or trade young talent for other young, but better fitting talent. This trade accomplishes none of that. Saving money is a tertiary issues for the Kings, so the idea that they're desperate to get rid of Buddy is true only on the culture part not so much on the money part.

Sounds to me that Stevens and Udoka are not on the same page. Stevens brought Udoka in partly to develop the Celtics young talent. Instead Udoka leans on the vets (Richardson, Schroder, Horford) and benches the young players (Langford, Nesmith, Pritchard, Hauser etc.).

I am expecting Stevens to move Schroder, Richardson and maybe but less likely Horford. I think Langford, Nesmith, Pritchard and Hauser get a ton of playing time the 2nd half of the year mainly because Udoka is going to have no choice.

Just my opinion.

A 4-team trade i think makes sense for all involved. A bit unsure of which teams should send out which picks.

Houston Out: Eric Gordon
Houston In: Taden Horton Tucker, 4 2nd round picks

Dallas Out: TPE, 2 2nd round picks
Dallas In: Dennis Schroder

Lakers Out: Taden Horton Tucker, 2 2round picks
Lakers In: Josh Richardson

Boston Out: Dennis Schroder, Josh Richardson
Boston In: Eric Gordon

Dallas gets a good player for basically nothing.
Houston gets a young project that fits their timeline and 4 second rounders.
Lakers gets a better player.
Boston gets a player that can take some of the responsibillity from Brown and Tatum, while making room for their young players by doing a 2 for 1 trade.

Can Boston still get under the tax?

So what you're saying is that the GM needs to get rid of the coach's binky's?

I think that Horford has to go and get broken up into the smaller pieces.

Horford and Wall to LAkers
Westbrook, Nunn and Horton to Houston with picks from LAL
Gordon and Theis to Boston

Doesn't sound like Stevens wants to replace vets with more vets who would keep our youngsters on the bench.

still really intrigued by THT..

if LA took Schroeder for him...

Thinking win-now/later-ish:

Kelly Olynyk would be perfect as a 4/5 off the bench. Don't know if a deal works, but he's a glue guy, floor spacer, and a little bit of a scorer.

JRich should be on the way out - he's blocking Romeo and Nesmith, playoff teams could use him. Don't know who'll pay up, though.

1. Josh, Schroeder to LAL
Kendrick Nunn to team X
THT to BOS

2. Smart to DAL
Brunson and Olynyk to BOS
Dwight Powell and protected DAL 1st to DET

Brunson/THT/Pritchard + Dozier IL
Brown/Romeo(/THT)
Tatum/Nesmith
Al/Grant/Bruno
Rob/Olynyk/Enes + Bol IL

Ime's forced to play the young wings, gets another vet big he can rely on, we add a young prospect with Talen and gamble on Brunson. We drop like six million under the tax, start up the repeater clock next year if we can keep Brunson, with the flexibility to get back under by trading Olynyk. Brunson helps us offensively this year - he can shoot in the midrange and finish at the rim, very different look offensively, can play on and off the ball.

Return to Boston Celtics
