My man Sion James, this is produced by Duke's official channel.
First 20 seconds, they say he is Duke's PG.
Draft this guy up, 6'6" PG who can play point next to a dominant wing player. Play great versatile D, flash the guns at people, hit shots, basic "smashing into guys" stuff.
I'd rather Proctor if he declares for the draft.
Nah Brad wants jacked PG with guns, not skinny shooting guards.
1-6 who I believe deserve it: Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper, Kasparas Jakucionis, Ace Bailey, Tre Johnson, VJ Edgecombe
Rest of lotto+ (7-15) cuz everyone keeps saying but I don't really buy or not buy at this point since we can't get them so I haven't bothered looking: Asa Newell, Egor Demin, Kon Knueppel, Khaman Maluach, Liam McNeeley, Ben Saraf, Derik Queen, Jeremiah Fears, Boogie Fland
Next 14 guys I like that we can get one of for sure, in my order of preference (as of today): Rasheer Fleming Thomas Sorber Noa Essengue Nolan Traore Collin Murray-Boyles Joan Beringer Noah Penda Miles Byrd Ian Jackson Hugo Gonzales Johni Broome Kam Jones Jase Richardson Labaron Philon
Next set that I'm super intrigued with but fully willing to admit they could be serious busts: JoJo Tugler Darrion Williams Adou Thiero Will Riley Mackenzie Mgbako Dink Pate Carter Bryant Joson Sanon Kanon Catchings Sergio De Larrea
Old reliables that I'd be fine taking but would be more excited if we trade back for: Nique Clifford Tyrese Proctor Hunter Sallis Danny Wolf JT Toppin
Others I'd be fine with seeing in Maine for a few years: Maxime Raynaud Yaxel Lendeborg Danny Wolf Alex Toohey
Lendeborg fits the mold of guy they've tried to fill into the roster lately. Ie, drafting Watson, the Miles Norris 2-way. They had a slightly smaller but similar guy in Nathan Knight on a 2-way that didn't stick around previously.
Kind of the Enrique Freeman of this year's draft, sort of the modern 4 with the size of the old fashioned PF.

Yeah, hopefully he doesn't fit the Watson style too much, lol.
This draft is feeling like last year to me. I was so set on wanting to trade up for daSliva or Holmes even though I knew we wouldn't. This year, i feel like Fleming's that dude even though I know we won't trade up to get him. I think he ends up going lotto now anyways, so we basically have no chance.
I keep shuffling my secondary guys around. I've soured a little on Byrd (but would bounce back in an instance if we grabbed him...). Carter, Broome are kinda my grab them at 28 guys if still around. Otherwise trade out.
31 and a potential late 30s early 40s (via 28 tradeback + future 2nd) there's a host of guys I still need to refine. Yaxel would fit nicely in that 2nd pick area. 31 I'm still probably trying for a Wolf, Beringer, Nique (back on my radar), Thiero, Riley, Byrd, Penda instead.

I feel like Nique is kind of the super realistic option. I looked at Wolf a good bit but I think he isn't going to be it- not enough of a shooter, too ball dominant, not actually that efficient on offense for an offense first player and pretty turnover prone.
My guy at the top is Sion James, he's the Jrue Holiday replacement. Imo getting slept on to find a physical versatile defender who can be efficient on the offensive end at his size, he is going to show up on draft boards by the end. Then I feel like if there's room add a bigger guy. Yaxel seems like a trade down in the second round type but fits that 4/5 role they've tried to find.
Let's just say they trade 28/31 to WAS for 24/43 and take Fleming and Sion James lol.

Jase Richardson will be a very very good NBA player. IMO, definite lotto pick. Highlight tapes for prospects obviously make them out to be the next coming of whomever, but I've watched a bunch of Spartan games. The kid is a very good player and he has a high basketball IQ. His dad did a great job with him.

I'm so torn on Wolf. As a tertiary or lower guy, you'd hope the efficiency and turnovers go up and down respectively.
I'll have to look at Sion. I like a physical defender that can be a low usage option. I'd love that trade if Fleming lasts. But, I think it's more like 28, 2026 1st & Hauser to get into the late lotto/teens area to have a chance.

Yeah, jase is awesome..top 10 prospect in this class imo..so too good for us..
Some of the mocks have him 20-30 range so you never know..but 3 months till the draft so I'm guessing by that time he rises out of our range..
He's like a mix of Reed Sheppard, Jared McCain, Tyrese Maxey, Bradley Beal, CJ McCollum, Norman Powell and Donovan Mitchell.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

The things the videos above mentioned on him were no right hand and lack of balance on his shots / some poor shot selection. But also liked his aggressiveness / bbiq from growing up with the game. Obviously just one dude's opinion after scrolling thru clips in 30 minutes. But, he does seem to have a good eye.
Awesome thanks. Good news is he's 22 on draft night not 24 like some of these current seniors. I think it's a slept on story, he's literally playing PG on this Duke team, the coaches have directly said that and check the AST numbers of he and Proctor compared to last year. Ie I don't think he's a wing but having a backup PG that can also play wing is a thing this team loves, taking these big guys and making them ball handlers.
Looks like it’s most likely #28 and either 31, 32 or 33. I’d package 28 and which ever slot the 2nd round pick lands and trade that to Charlotte for their 2nd, the rights to the Pels 25’ 2nd and their 26’ 2nd (should be in the 30’s).
That 25’ 1st round rookie salary is gonna be tough on the payroll.

Still haven't watched much yet but you guys talk me into liking players every year. James may be one of them this year.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..
28 Celtics Alex Condon C – Florida (Australia) – HT: 6-11 – WT: 230 – WING: NA – So – A mobile and skilled big man who has been highly productive for the Gators.

I like to try to find the guys that fit this team's play-style. For me they have very specific types of players they go after and some types they don't invest much in.
Big PGs that can handle and shoot and play multiple positions on D is right up their alley. They also don't seem to prioritize explosive leapers or fast twitch guys either, more about size, strength and mobility.
Just seems like this guy checks a ton of boxes compared to a lot of guys available in their range.

I think Atlanta should just trade us Dyson Daniels.

I would trade our first and any of jordan walsh or baylor to get him.. I don't know the financials. Maybe it is not possible

I've looked a little more and I'm on board. I'm short listing on Fleming (sigh), Broome, Bryant, Clifford, Thiero, James, Clayton

Love Daniels. But, first hurdle before the financials would be convincing ATL. They'd need more, imo.
