Regarding the Center position, it's time Queta shows us something.

This will be his 3rd year with the Cs.

He is due!

Raynaud looks like the most interesting big man prospect to me. seems like a potential kelly olynyk, minus the whole chosen one spot before giannis thing.

Most likely he will show that he's the 4th String Center...

He's not good enough, and I'm Portuguese, I have every reason to be delusional about him, but he's a fringe NBA player and that's it.

Give him this season to prove himself.

If we still see nothing then he's gone because he has a non-guaranteed.

Brad said priority is to re-sign Kornet and Horford.

That's just sad.

Rebounding was atrocious last year and was probably the single biggest reason they lost in the playoffs.

So yes let's double down and bring back the same bigs. Totally makes sense.

That's not a bad thing.

But that doesn't mean Brad should not look for a better starting C.

Kornet was one of the league leaders in +/- last year and Al is my favorite player, but you do you. What other possibly-cheap FA bigs are you hoping for?

Let's not forget Brad has until Feb. 2026 to upgrade that Center position.

What rebounders are available?

Celtics were middle-of-of-the-pack in playoff rebounding last year, just above NYK
https://www.nba.com/stats/teams/rebounding?dir=D&sort=REB

They also ranked in the middle in terms of regular season rebounding: https://www.nba.com/stats/teams/rebounding?SeasonType=Regular%20Season&dir=D&sort=REB_CHANCE_PCT_ADJ

Tatum was their best rebounder, so I’ll expect them to struggle on the glass this season, but calling it atrocious last year seems more emotional than factual.

Horford is fine as backup big, Kornet as third string. By the looks of it, Brad is bringing them back as main and backup big respectively.

Kornet, he is what he is. Horford is 39. Might as well sit him out until Tatum comes back lol. I would've personally preferred Brad took Reynaud and Kalk with his picks, give them opportunities in a "gap year" and maybe one of them turns out to be a rotational guy or perhaps even more. And it doesn't take much to be an upgrade over Kornet. In a team with two supermax players, it's almost vital to have contributors on rookie contracts. That's often how contenders succeed.

Pacers have Siakam-Turner, Knicks have Towns. Magic have Banchero. Cavs have Allen+Mobley. Even Hawks now have Okungwu+Kristaps. So excuse me for not being too excited with a Horford-Kornet center combo.

To simplify, Cs were +1.6 in rebounding differential in the regular season and an even 0.0 in the playoffs.

Saying Cs were atrocious in rebounding last season is fake news.

I don't have the answers. I'm not the one on the trade horn. But they need more then horford and Luke. I expect to keep Luke unless someone gives him outrageous money but I think horford is good as gone.

I do know that rebounding was a problem for them and it's going to be compounded for them now that they lost KP and Tatum.

Read on Twitter

MJ and Pippen totally had a different supporting cast after 1993.

From 91 to 93, it was guys like John Paxson, Bill Cartwright, and Horace Grant.

In 1996 and up to 1998, it was Kukoc, Rodman, and Ron Harper.

JB will still be 29 years old in 2026.

It's not aging.
