People that are name calling, disrespecting Robert Williams online/social media etc shouldn't root for him when he becomes a good player.

Sounds like a smart kid at least regarding basketball. Nice to hear Baynes has already worked with him on his post D.

Re: The Tantalizer: Welcome Robert Williams!
The play that most impressed me was that little baseline floater that he missed. I knew he was a quick twitch, jump high athlete. I had no idea he has that kind of coordination, body control and touch.
If this kid loves to compete, stays healthy, and really works on his game he can be a special player.

He is very athletic. Can move very well for a big man. I am no basketball expert but i know a talented player when i see one. Eye test says it all. The way he was setting screens with that being his first game, unreal. With a little coaching and willingness to work on his game, i see him being a very good player.
I don't see him being Deandre Jordan, I see him being better than him.

Yeah that was nice, should’ve dropped too. I expected a total zero on offense, he flashed a mid range jumper and some ability off the bounce in just 6 minutes. Also a very slick pass to a cutter that just barely missed. That play even though it was unsuccessful actually stuck out to me the most. It shows he sees the floor which is a great sign at his age.

The one thing I took away in the brief time we got to see him last night is he looks even more explosive live than he did in his highlight videos. I can't believe how fast he gets off the floor. Pretty excited to see what Brad can do with this kid.

Same here. Far from being Sluggish. -- Only thing is that he did get winded early.
He was Superb IMO, in only 6 mins.

Kid displayed his athleticism going up for some of those highlight contests on the perimeter. Unfortunately he bit hard on the pump fake all 3 times
But still, kid is as athletic as they come. Also looked a legit 6'10 to me

Indeed, he looked like he was relatively playing on a team of munchkins.

Re: The Tantalizer: Welcome Robert Williams!
Firstly, it’s a shame there is no one on the team who can throw up a lob pass. But I hope he can play in the last 3 games. I rewatched game 1 and Williams was a bit more active than I gave him credit for, much of the lag in his game, imo, can be attributed to slower processing. It’s too early to judge whether that’s experience or attitude.
I’m interested to see if they make posting him up more of a focus in the future summer league games. He did not demonstrate push/toughness in establishing deep positioning or sealing his man, but his arm length allows him to go a long way to reel in the pass. I want more playmaker Rob opportunities to show off his passing skill.
The glimpse we saw on Friday was the elite level explosiveness and short area burst. I think, if nothing else, he might prove to be the most impressive athlete on the team.

he seems keen from his interviews, and can see his eyes waking up to where he is at. feels like he will develop into a nice player for us

Looked pretty good - considering the raft of busts we have had down in that part of the draft.. I think they can mold him into an exciting above the rim finisher type - who can play d. Clint Capela kind of guy..

Yes, and with that and how all the reports are that he's very likable I expect Baynes and Horford (and presumably Theis as well) will keep working with him. Reminds me almost like the positional bonding on a pro football team. I don't think Yabs has been as keen, which you can see just by looking at his conditioning, or they would have helped him more too.

Also can pass, which is important in their system and very complementary by not needing a lot of possessions with a team that already has a lot of scorers on it. He could well be starting by his second year.
