Sounds like Hanlon is pushing Tatum to go full Antoine, and jack up eight 3s per game. If he makes over 40 percent that is well worth it.

His shot is like butter. Antoine’s was ugly. So many times last 2 seasons when Jason catches in position and wide open....he fakes and either passes or drives only to end with a fading 2 point jumper. He can be a 45% 3 point shooter ....he should punish defenses that dare to let him be open like that. I don’t want him chucking....I just want him to be ready the way Klay and Curry always are.

His release is too slow. He takes his time and defenders catch up to him I think. His open looks reduced this year.

Here’s a question: leaving out superstar players or packages with Hayward - like, Hayward/Brown/Williams for Towns - what would be good Hayward trades? The only “star” swap that could work would be for Bradley Beal, with Gordon to a third team. Otherwise, think packages where you’re getting back more than one player/asset..

Beal for Hayward does nothing to relieve the logjam--and Gordon could well be more valuable for this team at this point anyway.

Putting NBA player salaries into perspective, Forbes list of richest franchises came out. Celtics are 22nd valued at 2.8 billion. Value increased 12% this year or 336 million which is 3 times salary cap. The Knicks are worth 4 billion - 1.2 billion more than Celtics.

Highest valued NBA franchise will never make the finals. Or at least not in the next 10 years. How sad is that.

I like the idea of going with Kemba, jaylen, Hayward. I really like how I THINK they would fit. I’d like to have Tatum, Smart and a Memphis pick to throw in for a star or budding star. Granted I don’t have one on the brain that may be realistic right now.

That'd be great, but I would bet a lot of money on it being in BKN. I really doubt the league wants to broadcast a chorus of boos and profanity on national tv on Xmas.

In my experience, there would be more Celtics fans there than Brooklyn fans. I would think this will be especially so at Xmas (NYers get outta town during any holiday). Maybe people will come out of the woodwork now they've got KD and Kyrie.

In my 15 years living and working in NYC I’ve literally met one person who I’d consider a true Nets fan. And he’s from NJ and also a Cowboys and Red Sox fan so consider THAT source.

I anticipate that changing this season, at least for the first couple weeks of the season until its evident the Nets are mediocre.
