Dinwidie-- gone. Zach Collins--- gone. Marquese Chriss--gone. Chris Clemons--gone. Jonathan Issac-- gone.

The injuries are piling up, and teams thought to be deep aren't so deep after all. And there are plenty of other injuries not thought to be season-ending but which will cause important players to miss significant time.

Not that it really matters because they're up big but Hayward is currently shooting 1 for 11

ATL and Charlotte both look playoff bound.

Trae Young is a baller. Took him a little longer than Luka but he is here now.

Weird stuff in the NBA this year. MIL loses to MIA after beating them by 47 the night before. BRK and ATL both dropping 140+ in a regulation game. The 50+ point DAL lead at half over the LAC.

Meanwhile MIL is 2-3, TOR is 0-3, DEN is 1-3 an DAL is about to be 1-3. The last unbeaten team is.....ORL at 4-0, just like everyone predicted. SAC and CLE are both 3-1.

And now for something completely different:

After stretch-waiving him in December of 2014, this is the first year the Detroit Pistons are not paying Josh Smith. End of an era.

it seems a lot harder to win two games back-to-back against an opponent in the RS, even when it's a mismatch. in the playoffs teams get up for every game, but in the RS it's about who brings the intensity on any given night. and nobody likes to get clowned by the same opponent twice in a row.

I gotta think the short off-season for some teams combined with the long lay off for others is adding a fair amount of "randomness" to the beginning of the season.

Add TJ Warren to the list of the injured. The lack of a real training camp seems to be taking its toll.

Yeah, but Warren had the same thing on the other foot done, so I doubt short training camp did anything about it.

Huge blow for the pacers.

The Raps benched Siakam tonight for disciplinary reasons. Seems like that team is in a bad spot all the sudden.

This feeds my life force. They do need to win a few though. No reason to hope they are so bad to get a top five pick.

After Magic fell to Sixers, every team has a loss now. Most consecutive wins by any team to start this season was FOUR. Must be some sort of an all-time low.

Wizards and Pistons remain the only teams without a win.

19-4-8 as a rookie at 20 y/o. He was "here now" then at 20 y/o. He followed that up with 29-4-9 last season. Where have you been?

Probably couldn't beat the Clippers in the recruiting department anyway, but Nic Batum would have been a nice vet pickup. 3/4 defensively, has floor game on offense, can initiate a bit and take advantage of mismatches, helps out on the boards.

I feel sorry for Spencer Dinwiddie getting hurt, he's a hard worker, good leader and a fun guy to watch on the court.

HUGE loss for the Nets.

That Hawks team looks legit. They have a well balanced lineup. A good combination of inside and outside offense. Good bigs in capela and collins. a bunch of shooters, and a good set of playmakers. Their bench is loaded. Plus Trae looks even better than Jayson right now. They actually have the fire power to match up against the Nets. They also have the bigs to protect the paint and rebound the ball. That team could really be a threat in the east.
