(Perhaps amen is the guy you go for as a pg of the future)

I hate this deal. Cant really quantify it - Porter is a chucker and probably dont know about about the other players in the deal

He averaged 15 shots per game and 6 assists.
He is far from a chucker.

Brown averaged 20 shots per game.

Porter has matured tremendously since going to houston and is a completely different person now.

And he has far superior handles, better shooting, higher bball iq, superior playmaking as well.

And he is locked up 4 years on a sub 20 milloon dollar contract.

Eason looks like he jas oodles of potential as a 3D power forward, martin is a great backup sf.

This trade idea aside, Houston is in panic mode and might do something stupid. Plus the Ime factor. We should call them.

Is there another Porter in Houston that I don’t know about?

Porzingis and Beal would be good fits here. Call up the Wizards deal Rob Marcus and whatever else outside of Tatum White and Brown

It seems likely that GWill and Pritchard are going to be sacrificed on the altar of Brown's max deal.

Now guys like JB (extended by Ainge), Grant and Pritchard (drafted by Ainge) have a higher probability of getting moved.

Joe Mazzulla was never going to be fired. Celtics are not paying 3 head coaches Udoka, Mazzulla and new coach.

I really never understood this point.. Even with paying three head coaches if you fail and don't move on like boston did, You end up getting less money As a team.. So unless I am mistaken had Boston reached the finals. I believe they easily could have made more money than whatever they have to pay in coaches salaries.

So if money really is the top priority .. Win the finals, Sell more boston celtic paraphernalia.. And whatever else they get from ticketsales..

Actually bringing someone in to change the Celtics offensive philosophy is this core's only hope. Should be priority #1

The vision of 5 guys standing around with no ball movement, no player movement, shot clock winding down and then a turnover or three point heave should wake Brad Stevens up to do something.

This has to KILL Brad. He hates it. 100%.

If he really hates it that much then you would think joe is definitely gone..yet...

People don't have to necessarily leave. You need to identify the problem then fix it. If you can't fix it then it's time to leave.

Well, I think Stevens knows a good coach when he sees one, and Stevens is also cold-blooded enough to move on if he did not think Mazzulla was up to the job. Having said that, I expect that there will be several head-coaches-in-waiting on Mazzella's staff (think Steven Silas, Jerome Allen, Kenny Atkinson, Frank Vogel etc.) ready to take over if the team falters out of the gate.

Damn son, literally any analytics you can find paint JB in a bad light.

Really think we should trade him.

Read on Twitter

C'mon Brad. Grow a pair and do it. Him and Siakam both have 1 year left on their deals. Just swap them.

Part of the problem with not paying Brown is that Tatum wants a running mate he views as an elite player. Agree or disagree with it, but he views Brown in that light.

So what if we found a way to replace the elite player, while also pocketing the draft pick…

Brown to POR for #3/Simons is universally considered fair

Simons to ORL for #11 is considered fair on the main board.

There’s a a WAS fan on the main board willing to trade Beal for #11 and total salary relief.

Combine those three ideas…

POR gives: 3, Simons
POR gets: Brown

ORL gives: 11
ORL gets: Simons

WAS gives: Beal
WAS gets: 11, small salary filler from Boston

BOS gives: Brown, small salary filler (Pritchard, Gallo)
BOS gets: 3, Beal

Smart / White
Beal / Brogdon
Tatum
Horford
RWillianms

We’d also have the #3 pick. Probably look to deal it with Brogdon for a great front court player that pushes Horford to the bench.

Beal works for me. His assist % has been higher than 26% in 3 of the past 4 years. 2 of those seasons it was right at 30% which is really good. Plus Beal is a VERY good cutter. So between the passing and the cutting, our offense would be flowing MUCH better.

And Tatum would obviously LOVE being able to play with his lifelong friend - it would definitely take the sting out of having his buddy JB get traded.

Tatum and Beal would be so pumped and motivated to try and win a championship together.

Plus, you could get a very good player by packaging up the 3rd pick with Brogdon..not a max player (we obviously couldn't afford to have another max contract on top of tatum and beal) but a guy who's close to max contract level..

If the 11th pick gets Beal Orlando would take him into their cap outright.

Unfortunately Beal's had multiple co-stars in Washington and hasn't really clicked with any of them.. maybe with Westbrook..

But on paper he'd get the offense flowing better than Jaylen can.. Hell, Jaylen for Simons/3, 3 for Beal, then you can deal off Brogdon and maybe Smart or White for frontcourt help..

I don't always take to your trade ideas but I've thought of this one myself and I LOVE this deal. I might ask for Garuba over Martin but wouldn't have a problem with either. With the passers on this team a willing cutter could average 10 ppg on cuts alone If nothing else, both Martin and Eason are absolutely low Usage, willing cutters. And as you said stocks us with young assets Brad can flip later for other players. That's how you navigate the new CBA and no one can tell me that team would have difficulty scoring. Solidifies the hierarchy. Tatum will touch the ball pretty much every possession down now and he will be surrounded by efficient shooters and secondary playmakers.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

Gallo and PP for Olynyk.

Give this core until 2025.

2025-26 will be a new window.
