Keep an eye on Amar Sylla from Senegal,18 years old, 6-9 with a 7-3 wingspan, currently playing in Belgium. After watching a little film, I think he could be a monster if his shooting improves.

Re: NBA draft, who would you like for Celts to pick?
Watching Louisville vs duke and paying attention more to Carey I like his feet and post skills.
He is currently 10 on the nbdadraft mock.
So far Carey is my top pick if he somehow gets to 10 range and we are off by 5 I say trade other picks to get him. We avg. Around 3 and half rookies a year. 7 currently. Memphis looks like they might fight for playoffs so looks like it's conveying this year. If we get 15 and our pick should in theory be at least a starting point in a trade talk to move up. But I'll also admit this is my 6th college game watched so I'm late in my usual knowing of names.

I don't want to pick anyone, I want those picks traded. Tired of wasted late draft picks by Ainge.

But for what? That is always the issue.

I'm thinking about our first rounder here, not the Memphis potential pick.
Tall enough, long armed with some versatility.
The outside shot is not pretty, so whether it translates I'm not sure, but he looks like a basketball player to me, and would suit a switching defence. And he's a four in our system I guess, at least unless he puts on muscle.
I'm all on board for this. He's my official draft binkie.
I went to DePaul, so I've seen Paul Reed play a lot.
He's got some Pascal Siakam to his game. I'd actually be pretty excited to pick him up in the mid-to-late 1st round and let him go get minutes in the G-League for a bit. The jump shot is kind of funky looking, but it's usually effective. If he straightens out some of the mechanics, and starts burying them with more consistency, he becomes a very, very interesting player.
And he's already a fairly high level rebounder and defender. Kid can really move his feet on defense.

This seems pretty close to my view. Appreciate the insight from someone who's seen DePaul play a lot, since I'm Australian, and therefore reduced to whatever I can glean from the interwebz.

Some concept of a player that doesn't exist probably.
Quade Green looks interesting, I have no idea where he's mocked to go, but great passer, shot looks great and he can seemingly create space in traffic to get it off. Weird college career that started in Kentucky, now in Washington running PnR with Isaiah Stewart. Obviously short so everyone here will hate him, so bonus points there for me. Would be amazing to get him in the Tremont Waters role.
Keeping an eye on Trevelin Queen. He should be available late, he'll be 23 and only has two years of D1 basketball to look at, but looks crazy athletic and prototype 3+D frame, willing and able passer.

I kinda gotta plead the fifth, I just haven't seen enough, apart from watching some DePaul stuff focused on Reed...lol
Obviously good size and length. I don't trust the shot though, although I think he has been knocking it down this year, right? I'm just a little off more wings...I feel like Reed could defend right across the front line (maybe not straight away) so the fit and opportunity align.
I'd be happier with someone like Oturu with the other late first rounder, but it's based on such a small sample size I'm a little embarrassed to offer an opinion.
It might depend on who they take with the Memphis pick, assuming it conveys around mid-first round. If they can get a 4 or 5 there, perhaps taking another wing (especially one who can handle the ball and switch defensively) gets easier. I kinda like the flashes from our existing Romeo (Langford), so I have him pencilled in as useful 2 man depth. Optimistic, I know, but how many Romeos can one team stash on a single bench??
[edit] Strikes me you were asking the opinion of the guy who actually goes to DePaul, rather than the internet nuffie living in Australia...but regardless, you got my opinion thrown in too. For free![/edit]

Romeo Weems will probably be undrafted if he comes out this year unless he blows up in the tournament. He need another year at DePaul.

I think Romeo Weems needs to stay in school.
