Getting rid of kembal Walker and Carson Edwards in one off season should put Brad Stevens on goat level. Someone really needs to consider building him a statue

Memphis saved 200K. The deal has no basketball value for them. As for Boston, Hernangomez' salary is non guaranteed year after next. So that's another guy to aggregate with Horford in a deal for a white whale.

Smart/Dennis
Nesmith/Pritchard/Romeo
JB/Richardson
JT/Juancho/Parker
Rob/Al/Kanter/Bruno/Grant

We have an excess of centers but, eh, no big deal. This is a damn good roster and this team has a real shot at the 3 seed.

Totally agree. Outstanding balance this year by position, and experience. And flexibility.

3 pure centers with Rob Al and Kanter.
3 point guards with Smart Dennus Pritch.
3 SG/SF combos with Jaylen JRich Nesmith
3 SF/PF combos with Tatum Juancho Parker.
3 versatile agitators with Romey Grant and Bruno.

******* love it Brad!

Danny was rumored to have been interested in him the year he was drafted. This is just another fantastic deal as far as I'm concerned. 25 years old 6'9 swing who can shoot and rebound a bit. Another nice complementary piece for a bench that now looks like an actual legitimate NBA bench. Just cannot say enough about the job Brad and Mike Zarren have done to transform this team from the mess that ended this last season into a group that looks like a solid threat for the 3 seed right now.

And no way Ainge would have done it..
And this huge turnover deserves a fresh coaching approach.
Great offseason.

At least the Celtics aren't hoarding 2nd rounders like they're gold anymore.

Open competition. Let's see who doesn't produce in camp. I bet Grant sticks. I think Bruno might stick too as he brings muscle and energy while RWill and Big Al will be conserved. Romey might be given this season to get it. Parker may be the odd man out but if he comes in healthy and well conditioned he may stick too. Who else?

Yeah I mean, Mann is a good young talent. Reggie Jackson is a PG who can distribute and score, which Philly needs.

Keon Johnson is a young wing with high upside they just took in the 1st round, who many had projected a lottery pick.

So a package of Mann + Jackson + Keon + multiple 1st round picks isn't terrible. But I'm sure there's another team could make a better offer..

Mann and Jackson would be really nice gets for Philly. Both looked good in the POs

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Exactly.

The balance on the roster at each of the 5 positions is so much better now, I love it.

Balance is what best describes the Celts now.

Brad is doing an amazing job by getting rid of our awful bench from last year. He has also made the team better defensively, taller, tougher, more balanced and less selfish.

So far, 8 players are gone from last year's awful season:

Walker
Fournier
Thompson
Kornet
Ojeleje
Edwards
Waters
Fall

yeah, i love that we've replaced almost every one with someone who is a significantly better defender. the exceptions being losing semi, and acquiring kanter. but for the most part this team is much better defensively all the way down the roster than last year.

What is the official status of Luke Kornet? Has he been released?

Looking at the Celtics roster right now one thing is perfectly clear, the Celtics are set up for a big trade at the trade deadline or next summer
