Theis got some action in the 1st half of Game 1.

If Theis is effective, even for limited minutes only, I think it will keep Al fresh for the 4th qtr.

PP should also continue getting minutes, especially if GSW continues to double Tatum.

Tatum should be surrounded by shooters if GSW continues to double him.

Theis is not effective. Nesmith should see minutes over him. Theis is trash

good lord, you can't be serious. Nesmith is a shooter who can't hit a shot and is like a deer in the headlights out there.

Theis was our center when we made it to the ECF just 2 yrs ago. You're comparing apples to oranges.

Theis hit a 3 last night (something Nesmith hasn't been able to do) and he can also block shots:

I don’t care about anything Theis did 2 years ago. It’s irrelevant. Nesmith had like 5 blocks in spot minutes last series and can actually hang with some of the warriors guys on the perimeter. With Theis in the game they will just screen and switch Curry or Klay or whoever onto him and bury 3’s in his face over and over and over again.

The Theis slander must stop. He wasn't impactful but he wasn't trash either.

He was -961 in like 48 minutes played the last time he saw the court. He should never see the court again. He’s a regular season minutes eater against lesser players who consistently gets clowned in the post season when the level of play elevates. Theis sucks.

Watch the game bro, he didn't really make many mistakes other than mysteriously dropping off of Curry one time. But Rob was doing that too so I wonder if that was some big brain reverse psychology strategy by Ime.

I watched the game. Theis is horrible. Can’t wait till they dump him in the offseason. Priority one in the offseason is to upgrade big man depth and it starts by jettisoning Theis

The player they picked on was Pritchard when they are both in together. But you wouldn't know that.

The thing that concerns me most is that Boston gets up for games when their back is against the wall.. But going up 1-0 makes me feel they will take the "foot off the gas"

we suck at home, let's go hard for this one please..

GSW had some really nice plays involving Draymond. Makes you wonder if a better coach would have stuck with the Donkey instead of asking Curry to ISO every time down.

Theis was our center when we made it to the ECF just 2 yrs ago - he's just as good (if not better) than he was then. You're comparing apples to oranges.

Theis hit a 3 last night (something Nesmith hasn't been able to do) and he can also block shots, like this one in the last series we just played vs Miami:

Future hall of famer Draymond Green gets a rebound over him and all of a sudden he's trash

Theis has a solid defender, rebounder, rim protector who is really good at setting screens, as well as sealing off his man so Tatum can drive to the basket. He's tough, physical, probably the strongest dude on the team outside of Grant. He's fearless, doesn't back down from anyone. If he gets 5 minutes a game, I'm not losing sleep. For crying out loud, that's all he got last night and we won in a blowout. Like honestly, what are we complaining about here lol

We have 2 Fragile (if that's the word) Centers. -- Horford, who turned 36 today, needs proper rest, at times.
And, Rob Williams, who is still dealing with lingering injuries.

It only makes sense for Theis to come in -- when he can -- and eat up some of the minutes.
Theis is a trooper. I want him on our team, going forward. He's a Swiss-Army-Knife of Centers.

Can we stop using the "shoulder" as an excuse when Tatum doesn't have a great game? Nobody brings it up when he's gone on a tear offensively. It's ok to say he didn't have a great game without excuses.

in that same thought, let's stop doggin' the dude for having a bad offensive game when he did everything else well.

Great W but team needs to continue defending their road court advantage and win Game 2. If they lose this one, they'll have to steal one on the home.

This will be a fun series to watch and am interested to see the Finals rating, which hopefully far surpass 2021's ratings. Watching Giannis run over people isn't enjoyable imo.

Why not take two?

I'm still hungry after Mrs. Leper con made me a sandwich. Lets keep eating more wins.

Interesting semblance to the 2008 Celtics Team.
A lot of updated similarities.

Won't be able to watch the game, because of work. But I'll be repping the Celtic regardless. GO CELTICS, TAKE THIS GAME.

This GSW defense is weak as S***....and if they decide to toughen up and play East Defense, they will start wearing down and start missing shots, C's in 6 or less.

3 more wins to go. I'm not personally interested in the "It'll be a long series" narrative. Get Win #2 here heading back to Boston.

Yeah, they don’t play anywhere near the physicality of Milwaukee, definitely not Miami and maybe not even Brooklyn. Even on that three Derrick White took that Curry closed out on, it wasn’t physical and he honestly didn’t even make it that difficult a shot.

I wasn’t even thinking Draymond was that physical, especially compared to PJ Tucker. Hope Tatum comes out agressive game two and realizes he’s getting the switches he needs to excel and no one is really going to body him. Went up too soft looking for contact on a lot of his shots last night.

Return to Boston Celtics
