Not great hehe. Team just needs to make it up on offense.

Embiid stopper though :D

Yeah, he was an SF during his Nuggets days.

I don't believe this. How can a guy change or play different positions

Not an issue on offense. But defensively, he's too slow-footed to keep up with guards and smaller wings. Ime will just have to find a scheme and lineup combos that hide him best.

I've got a good feeling about this pickup :)

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

It's not possible. Once you get a position on your rookie card, that's IT!

(Honestly, these kids these days with their "multi-positions". SMH.)

Thanks for posting these — actually (lol) not as bad as I thought! Is the SF sample size too small to talk about?

Way too small. Negligible. He's played a bit of center with the Clippers, but also negligible.

Grant is pretty much the same in terms of time spent as SF. Not an ideal bench fit for sure. Like one of them has to play center in spot minutes if Ime is sticking with the original Horflord starter pairing.

Wonder if Grant can guard 3s and Gallo 4s and they just both sort of do the same thing on offense? Because unless we have another backup 3 plan (and it could be Jaylen, Marcus, or Hauser) those two will need to play together, and I’d rather have them at 3/4 than 4/5 most times.

I think you could play some minutes with Grant/Gallo at the 3/4. Depends on matchups. It really comes down to if you trust Grant to guard the other team's 3 for those minutes.

I guess both of them play a good amount at the 4. It looks clunk when you list the depth chart out but you gotta factor in Horford playing minutes at center.

Let's say Rob plays 27 minutes/game. That leaves 21 more to fill at center. Let's say they sign a guy like Thomas Bryant to play 10, that leaves 11 more for Horford there.

Now let's say you want to keep Horford down at 25 minutes/game. If he's playing 11 at center, now you only have 14 left for him at PF. That means you've got 34 minutes left for PF. 20 for Grant, 14 for Gallo.

That seems low, but their season minutes per game would be higher because what about the games where Horford rests? Now the rest of those PF minutes are up for grabs and probably some center. What about the games Rob rests? Now Horford is playing most/all of his time at the 5. What about games Gallo rests (remember, he's old too)? Now Grant can pick up some extra minutes. In the games Grant misses (he's not invincible) then Gallo will play more.

I think they're going to really try to keep Tatum/Brown minutes relatively down in the regular season. Closer to 30 than 36. That will create extra time. I think Brogdon/Horford/Gallo/Rob will all get lots of scheduled rest days due to age/injury history. Factor all of that in and there will be plenty of times for everyone even on the deeper bench IMO. Guys like Pritchard, Hauser, Bryant (if we sign him) will have plenty of run. And guys like Grant/White won't have their minutes per game reduced to the extent we're talking about.

Playoff rotation now, that's different. But worry about that when we get there.

Can Gallo log minutes as a backup to TImelord at times?

I can't say no. Because this positions question, in my eyes it 100% depends on the matchups. If the other team fields a five of Jerebko-Jerebko-Jerebko-Jerebko and Jerebko. There's no penetration or a player that can take advantage 1on1. If their offense wants to, standing still, shoot over the tall Gallo or do something weak in the post against heavy and tall Gallo. We'll be ok.

Gallo is certainly a better pickup for Brad than Herangomez :D

The guy who plays music at celtics games MUST ask Gallinari permission to play that Gallinari song and if he's cool with it, he MUST play it at games and make it a thing :)

You can watch something accidentally for 5, 10 seconds. Maybe even up to 30 seconds if it's really wtf status. But 1 min 23 sec? :blank:

That was dazzling.

The first five seconds were by accident. The rest immediately turned into existential need.
