So as of today I think you can make a reasonable argument for 2nd team as a forward and maybe 3rd team as a guard. But I acknowledge there is no way Lebron would fall below 2nd team.
I apologize for the things I have said in the past.

He's more an early season favorite than a lock. Giannis, Tatum, Zion and Durant can be presumed to be ahead of him, so he and a lot of other competitors are only looking at 2 slots. (I'm not sure that's wholly justified in Zion's case, but it's at least reasonable enough to support the Zion buzz.) Of course, that figure could increase with serious injury.
I'm predicting that no centers get selected at forward. Jokic, Embiid and Adebayo are very clearly centers. Davis hasn't been an all-NBA FORWARD since 2015. Towns doesn't seem to be on an all-NBA track right now. Ditto Draymond Green.

I think it’ll have to be forward, and I hope he gets it, I always want players to get the most possible money, especially as he’s clearly been underpaid the last few seasons.
Guard seems to have a safe bet top 6, barring injuries. Luka, Steph, Ja, Booker, Mitchell, and SGA. SGA may fall off some, but I think he ends up averaging 28 or 29 a game.
Zion is lurking too, but hard to bet on him being healthy enough.

The locks at forward are probably Tatum, Giannis, KD, LeBron (for reasons I disagree with), and maybe Siakam if he stays healthy. Jaylen will be fighting with Jimmy/PG/DDR for that last spot.
That's not how the voting works, and that's not what happened to Tatum. If a player receives votes at multiple positions all those votes get counted, and the player just gets slotted in at whatever position he received more votes. So for instance if Jaylen gets 40 points as a Forward but 30 points as a guard he will be eligible at forward with 70 points.
The Tatum controversy was he received 69 total points, which was less than six forwards but more than the final guard spot that Kyrie Irving got with 61 points. Some argued the vote should be position less, which would have meant Tatum makes the team. But ultimately Tatum lost out on a position not because of "splitting votes" but because he had the 7th most points at the position he was eligible (Tatum got jobbed because the team was mediocre).
So what may hurt Brown is if more people see him as a guard, which is probably a tougher position to make it as. As a forward I think he has a pretty good shot, maybe even 2nd team if he stays healthy.

And if he gets more votes at guard than forward, he would be eligible at guard lol. I would think he’d get more votes at forward, but the voters are weird.

Bill Simmons has him as 2nd team All-NBA if voting was today. I have him at 3rd as a forward. Our voices should be heard.

He should make the team over LeBron if it comes down to it, I just have no faith in the voters.

Ya its a weird system. It makes sense if you really want to emphasize the "teams" part of the award, but it does lead to screwy results. Tatum lost out on 10's of million because of the need to include a score first short person (basketball wise) over a score first tall person. Kind of crazy.
I agree he's a forward, he plays more minutes at forward on this team for sure. BB reference has the splits at 59% SF and 38% SG. But who knows, voters are weird, if voters stubbornly insist he's a guard and only a guard maybe it does hurt him.

Same.
It will certainly help his cause if he maintains this level of play and Cs can sustain this level of awesomeness or maybe even dip a bit but finish the season strong like last season. Continued national exposure (not the negative kind) will keep him in voters memories come April.
Even this best current duo discussion helps JB (though in minds of some hurts JT's MVP bid which is dumb).

Guard is a tough road for him. Luka, Booker, SGA, Ja, Steph, Mitchell and you could throw in a few other names like Trae, Fox and even Garland. If he gets in it’s gonna be at Forward imo

I know opinions on Jaylen are all over the place but the dude is playing great and deserves a better thread. Please and thank you.

If Jaylen finishes the season having spent the majority of his minutes playing next to at least 2 unquestioned guards, the campaign to have him voted as a forward should be easy to run. His representatives and the Celtics will have only themselves to blame if the voting doesn't skew that way.
And given the roster composition, it seems likely that will actually happen -- unless, of course, injuries hit the Celtics' guards hard while being kinder to the bigs.

I think with how we destroyed the #1 team in the West on National TV that should we have the best record it will be really hard to keep Jaylen off the all-NBA team. You have idiot announcers starting "top ten" narratives about Jaylen during the game and when that happens there's obviously powers that be behind the scenes that want it out there. Similar noise was being made about Smart and DPOY during broadcast games. There's lots of Celtics fans in the NBA media. I think all-star game is a lock for Jaylen now too seeing there's strife in ATL and they're struggling making it unlikely Trae or Dejounte, two of the guys competing for those spots, get it over Jaylen.

Shouldn't be any drama or disagreement here at all tbh. Who on earth else would you rather have as the #2 besides Brown?
Doncic, KD, Giannis, Embiid, the list is pretty long.
Forgot to include Jesus, Gandhi, Captain America, that one character from Space Jam, and of course James Naismith himself.

From both lists, here is the revised list of those same people who would be WILLING to play second fiddle to Tatum and not insist on being the man:
Jesus
Maybe Naismith, he seemed pretty chill (he was Canadian after all)
Full of sound and fury; signifying nothing

I can be pretty stubborn with my philosophies, so I will not change often.. Still would trade JB for KD (KD is GOAT level) but some of the other names debated this summer, KAT, Beal, Dame, Sabonis are looking rather Funny right now..

All of the four players you named are at the very least reasonable trades for Jaylen, who's playing well but not so well that he's entered the only tradable for a top 10 player level.
Jaylen Brown has slightly increased his per 100 scoring numbers. he is scoring at the most efficient rate ever, but considering the entire team basically is hyper efficient and there's a million players scoring 25+ now, some of Jaylen's improvements in efficiency and scoring volume is pretty safely attributable to team and to league environment. I'm not saying he has not improved at all, but data doesn't support the notion that Jaylen has taken a leap rather than a gradual step.
In any case he's only at 105 TS+, which is good but not eye-popping, like Sabonis's 118 TS+.
