Hard facts: It's inexcusable for the Boston Celtics to lose Game 5 of the 2023 ECF on their home floor.

Celtics 4-5 at home in playoffs and 0-2 at home against the Heat

Inexcusable to lose Game 5.

One problem at a time lol.

Oh yeah, if they lose this one we'll be back to post-game-three vibes around here. And rightly so.

Maybe a reason why Hauser hasn’t played much is cos he can’t do much with the ball other than shoot it. At this point in his development, he’s not Duncan Robinson yet who has a straight line drive and can make that pocket pass to Bam.

Other than shooting - Hauser can pass, does not turn over the ball too much and rebounds well

I'd play

Smart
White
Jaylen
Tatum
Al
Rob
Batman

MAYBE Hauser. If you play Brogdon, it's gotta be on a very short leash. Was it a bad game or is his injury new? He was absolutely killing us.

Lol nope, undrafted out of Wheeling Jesuit University and played 4 years in the G League. So obviously tonight he will become an all time great.

Read on Twitter

Expect Heat to play more zone as they might play more Lowry and Robinson.

Regardless of sucking at home, I feel pretty confident about this game.

Hell I think even if Al is hitting 3s.

RW's impact on offense in the pick and roll is better than Al while he's hitting 3s in this series right now.

And RW's impact on defense is much better.

The fact that Stevens went out and his #1 target was an: injury prone, no defense playing, unathletic, PF instead of prioritizing a defensive C for a team with RW out for half or more of the year and Horford being one of the oldest Centers in the league that plays major minutes (maybe the oldest) is one of the biggest GM blunders we've seen in a long time.

But it is what it is.

Next off season getting a C/PF that can protect the rim has to be our #1 priority. We can't rely on Al for major minutes.

He needs to be reduced to 15 mpg and hope his body can last with that workload to return to max effectiveness in the playoffs on both offense and defense. He'll be a 37 year old big.

That and signing Joe prematurely to multi year deal.

Hauser and/or Pritchard for me depending if Celtics players are struggling or not. I don't think either one Hauser or Pritchard are being used properly.

If hauser can get it going, and Tatum shoots well, that lineup can give us a good lead.

I think Brogdon can still be part of the top 8, although he's currently 8 at this point. I could handle the poor 3 point shooting if he could quit blowing so many bunnies at the rim. Almost every one of them turns into the other team running it right back on us.

Use pritchard against Lowry especially if butler’s out. I don’t know why we don’t target mismatches this series. Out guys are bigger, so why not target lowry, vincent, robinson or struss in the post, just like what the heat does with PP. We can also play zone in order to hide Pp as well. Constant switching often leaves guys like Bam posting up with smaller guys, and Rob or Al guarding smaller guys outside. We need to be flexible on D.

Nows not the time to bring in Hauser. Defensive liability, and Butler will seek him out every time. Go down swinging with the 7 best!

Good points... Pritchard aside, other than we never play it so guys aren't use to it, I don't see why we don't throw zone against the Heat some this series. Who are their playmakers, especially if Jimmy is on the bench, that will take advantage of that? Allows us to stay closer to shooters, and if Bam destroys us in the middle of it then move away from it, but I don't think he's that kind of player on a consistent basis.
