Doc sucked and it took his post Celtic run for most everyone to acknowledge it.

Eventually everyone sees my way.

This is what I mean about agendas.

The perfect example even.

Got news for you, nobody cares about acknowledging what you think.

The majority of the Celtic fans only care about the Celtics winning a championship.

So what if the coach is bad and the Celts win the chip?

If you tell me the Celtics hire Mr. Bean and the Celtics is guaranteed to win a championship with Mr. Bean as coach, I'm all for it!

Mr.Bean would be amazing as a coach hahaha

It could be worse. We could be fans of the Suns or the Warriors.

Some of us who were Celtic fans during the Larry Bird era will never belittle the 2008 championship.

Good or bad coach, that 2008 championship for the Celtics was sweet.

LOL @ coach winning the votes, he took a timeout when we were way up because they looked like they were starting to play the wrong way in the second quarter. This is on the players getting lazy in defense and taking bad shots. PP taking multiple unnecessary long range 3s just some of them, but it starts with JT.

Until proven otherwise, Boston can not be trusted when it matters most. Trust needs to be earned.

It's just human nature.

double big was horrendous. spacing at times, horrendous. kp was being pushed around like a lil boy out there, few shots were taken because he was stumbling to set screens which screwed up actions. al, well it is what it is tonight, won't be every night. hauser not hitting anything every time he was wide open when we had chances to extend the lead really dampened the mood (thought all were going in). they dismantled pritchard on D for a long stretch which got them back into it... he recovered offensively after a while which helped. jb cant hit fts. stagnant ball movement at times. rebounding in crucial moments was poo and that was before that 3.

really pissed me off the shots that were taken when we took a big lead! terrible! jb started it and pritchard and sam tried to toss it up further out like they really were playing horse. boo those early momentum busting bricks!

there were a few other things I didn't like but the main thing was double big and how easily they pushed porzi around.

No AOS? Um, Shak, they had a 31 point lead to a play-in team missing two starters AND their best player. Sorry, that's a big AOS.

Game was tied and Tatum had an 8 second violation because he was playing at a snail pace

Flame me if you want but I really don’t care about this loss. Get to the post season already when the games actually matter. They shouldn’t, and most of the season haven’t, but at some point at least for parts of a game they have to be bored. It’s like playing a video game on an easy level that you can’t change the difficulty whenever you want. You have to wait until April 20 to change it.

I mean, ultimately, the loss means nothing but good God you should never lose a game being up by 30 especially against this team

I think they’ll be OK in the playoffs but they’re lack of focus is a bit of a concern

Any of y'all worried about the 7'4" popsicle stick that gets pushed around in the paint by anyone over 225 lbs?

Hell, even Wilkins was calling him out for playing soft in the paint.

I couldn't believe what I was watching with that 23 dribble possession by JB. To make matters worse, while it was happening, what was glaringly obvious as that went down was that Joe was not telling him to do a damn thing! Any other coach would have been frantically swirling his arm in a circle, making the speed things up sign. Not Joe though. :banghead:

I'm already not mad lol. We're hella spoiled by this team and the game didn't matter. We def sucked and should have won but I think it makes sense that your offense is going to be disorganized when your starting backcourt doesn't play. And I thought poor shot selection and poor offensive possessions was the big reason for the loss. So imo there's nothing to really take away aside from the game tried to ruin my night and now I'm moving on.

Your comment about Doc and the 2008 championship says it all.

That's what you're doing now with Joe.

It's not a big deal to most fans if their team wins a championship even if the coach is not that good.

What's important to most fans is their team wins a championship.

I consider the players like teenagers. Yes they may have thrown the party when the parents left town.. Yes it is their fault the house was destroyed. But at what point should the parents take the blame and responsibility for leaving them and the house alone for a weekend??

and what if that wasn't the first time??

Parents need to take leadership. Just like our coach. Especially when shet like this happens all the time.

Just take the case of Lebron.

Even in 2011 Lebron and the Heat choked after leading the series 2-1 against the Mavs.

Let the Jays fail enough, in the clutch, and they'll eventually figure it out.

Really weak post here. Lebron was clutch well before he got to the Heat. He just had bad teams around him in Cleveland. Your post goes flying out the window, just bringing up one game: Game 5 of the 2007 ECF vs. Detroit. Lebron scored the final 25 points for Cleveland, all by himself, in a double overtime win. That's **** clutch.

That's not accurate.

Celtic fans kept calling Lebron a choker after he lost to the Mavs in the 2011 finals.

It's not about facts, it's about perception.

A lot of NBA fans called Lebron a choker at that time.

Lebron got swept in 2007 by the Spurs in the finals.

Lost to the Celtics in 2008.

Got beat by Orlando in 2009.

And got beaten by the Cs again in 2010.

That's why a lot of NBA fans saw Lebron as a choker.

I will not argue with your data because like I said, it was all about perception.

This season there are Celtic fans here who will also show you data that the Celtics are good in the clutch this season.

Just go to the game thread and you'll see a post saying the Celts are good in the clutch this season.

Again, it's about perception.

Where, on this forum?? I wasn't here in 2007, but I guarantee you not a single person I know that knew and watched basketball at that time thought Lebron was a choker. Quite the opposite. After that Pistons game everyone was in awe over how clutch he was when it mattered.
