But yeah I agree with the initial sentiment. Soft is a pointless thing to say.

Kinda disappeared in the 2nd half when team needed him most. 9/1/2, -20. Most of his FTs if not all were in the 1st half. As opposed to what Mitchell was doing. K, not even Mitchell. LeVert pretty much matched his production in that half.

Jaylen and White needed their shots, what can you do. When you have a super team around you you gotta make some sacrifices.

JB took 10 shots in the first half. 7 in the second half (what you're commenting on), IIRC 2-3 were bum threes before he was pulled when it was well out of reach. White took 11 shots in TOTAL.

Honestly the highlight of the night for me was easy.

Payton Pritchard scoring in the paint between Mook Morris and Tristan Thompson. Doesn’t get better than that.

Kudos PP!

I don’t think my issue with Tatum is how he’s finishing in the paint because he did get to the line today even though he did miss plenty of shots around the rim. He just can’t shoot at all, midrange is bad all playoffs, his touch is not there, he can’t blow by his defender lately.

This team needs Porzingis, otherwise it’s the same disappointing team as last year but worse cause the jays are worse right now and holiday is worse than smart.

This team is just soft in every way. I don't even want to think about the things that Minny would do to them.

Forget Minny. The Knicks will out work these Celtics in every way.

They don't take games off like these Celtics do.

Great contribution.

That’s the best/worst part.

That post still was a better contribution than way too much of this board makes about basketball.

You’re in the other 20%, I’ll miss you the most scarecrow.

Aww! Bye bye lol.

What's the common denominator?

And don't say Brad Stevens, he's immaculate.

Here's the thing, once it was immediately discovered that the 3 ball wasn't working they were trying to attack the paint and midrange, that was sort of working but Cleveland was just lighting it up. Then we just started trading 3's for drives with coughed up balls.

Panic ball.

This team does not know how to play when it's close, just 20+ leads. It's always been my biggest worry, will just have to see what the response looks like.

we only had 7 turnovers in total.

It’s nice how they are banking the home wins for when they need them.

For the sake of this series, the absence of KP sort of cancels out the loss of Jarret Allen.

There is no reason this team shouldn't be able to figure out how to get it done. They just can't or don't want to. It is what it is.
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
The bum threes hurt but nothing will top that one time he took off two feet off the floor to slam the ball really hard off the backboard. Kinda like Vince Carter's dunk on Frederic Weiss but crap.

It's Jaylen Brown isn't it, that's why he's in the picture.

Wait. I thought game 2 against the gleague heat was the wake up call? Lol. If they don’t play serious ball, and not treat this like a regular season game, them they gonna regret it.

We have Tatum as our number one so anything is possible.

Better than most number 1s in the league! He wasn't the main problem tonight. I can name 5 things at least before I get to tatum.

Multiple times. You set an asininely high bar, you’re going to be disappointed over and over. These are the playoffs. Series are won 4-2, not 4-0. Shooting variance, which will usually favor the Celtics, will, on occasion, go against them. They are still clearly the better team.

But go on calling the team and its players soft. That’s the type of support the team is used to from you after EVERY SINGLE loss.

**** outta here with this BS.

Name me one other title team that continually got punked on their home court every **** playoffs.
