I guess we need this Tatum guy to be a good team.
Joe makes me crazy sometimes.
Play Walsh.

Best time to catch the Cavs is in March.

Right now the Cs are still sleepwalking.

In March, they play only 3 teams out of their 16 games, who have a top 10 record. Only 1 in the top 5. Don't think that's going to be an easy time to gain ground. Their 4 game West Coast trip right now is their toughest stretch of games this year.

Frustrating loss. At the end Horford misses a 3 and then Brown makes a bad defensive read leading to an uncontested corner 3. Dumb.

Fans put way more importance on a Dec 23rd game than the players do. It’s like that every year. Wake me up when the playoffs start.

Yes and Yes to the Fans and players.. But what about Joe??? He plays the guys like it's a playoff game. 8 man rotation in December is absurd. Double that when there are injuries.

As for the "stay ready crew", of course they should "stay ready", they are Pros. That's what they get paid to do. But I think it is near impossible to be in a Groove and play well while being Productive anywhere near their potential capabilities. Their Confidence has to be at an all-time low. Imagine Walsh coming in and realizing that he better make that one shot go in or he will very possibly not play for a month. Peterson actually played quite well with his little opportunity and somehow goes into BB exile. Why?? Again, there were injuries to players at their position (Sam, JT). Queta even more so has often played well and always full of energy every time he played this year. Defense and energy have been one of, if not, our biggest issues all year. How do think he feels watching Double Big lineups all the time and he can't even get in??

Flip that to Memphis. Coach Tyler Jenkins has missed Ja a few games this year. Does he even put in Long time battle tested veteran M Smart? No. He puts in little Scottie Pippen jr in the starting lineup. That same starting lineup that also has 2nd Rd pick Jalen Wells. Last night Jenkins also put in Fellow Rookie Zach Eddy back in the starting lineup after injury. Jenkins could have played more experienced players again Like Aldama or B Clarke. But he just gives so much more opportunity and confidence to his players regardless of age or experience.

This is really the same issues that plagued Nesmith, Hauser and PP for years. Still remember the Hate for Posters claiming they were not good enough. Still remember Posters using poor shooting pcts as proof. When in actuality it was based on small sample sizes crushed by very inconsistent opportunities.

My assertion back then remains the same as today. Lack of consistent or any PT will never garner good player development.

I agree we should have played more than 8 dudes, and maybe Hauser wasn’t even healthy, 16 mins no points or attempts.

You raise the example of Memphis but Memphis has found many guys on the edges who are producing in their minutes. And right now Walsh has brought energy but his actual production has been lousy. X-man, Springer, and Scheierman have just been bad, not even looking like NBA players this season.

I agree we should played Walsh. But with Tatum out and Hauser hurt8ng, our depth just looked bad. Also we had 13 assists, come on, Jrue + KP + PP totaled 1 assist, ONE ASSIST COMBINED! At a certain point, it’s not about the 9th and 10th man… the regulars have got to play sound ball

Magic allow the lowest 3-pt attempts per 100 possessions and 2nd lowest assists per 100. That's just what they do.

It was a case of a defensive team imposing their will on their opponent regardless of who they were missing on offense. Just like with the Warriors, Grizzlies, and Bulls loss, we weren't up for the challenge and were slow to adjust. Expect some of the same when we face teams like OKC and HOU in January.

Been saying all along what worries me most come playoff time aren't teams like the Knicks or Cavs or even the Bucks. It's the defensive physical teams that give us fits. Teams that can defend single coverage without sending help. We thrive off mismatch advantages that trigger our ball movement. They stay home and force us to go iso/post (JB and KP did just that), we don't gain any offensive rhythm. That's who Joe and co. should be preparing us for. On top of shoring up our own defense.

Yeah, losing always sucks.. But this team is way past overreacting to a game in December. Without Tatum no less.

I would bet he's on a minutes restriction.

It’s feeling more and more like brad needs to make a move and add something to this team. It seems every game we have a key guy out and joe refuses to play more guys. I thought tillman would have a big role but he never plays. Ditto for springer. Both of those guys are physical which is something this team desperately needs. It kills me that we always play **** when the other team
Is missing keys guys. The 13 assists is alarming; too much hero ball. Bad coaching

When a Queen makes 2 bank shot 3-pointers, you know you're not the king.

NBA L2m confirms two missed calls in the last two minutes - both in favor of the Magic, and both are incorrect non foul calls.

https://official.nba.com/l2m/L2MReport.html?gameId=0022400393

1- Q4 01:32.0 Foul: Personal Jalen Suggs Derrick White
Comment: Suggs (ORL) grabs White's (BOS) arm attempting to commit a take foul

2- Q4 00:07.5 Foul: Shooting Trevelin Queen Jaylen Brown
Comment: Queen (ORL) initiates illegal contact to Brown (BOS) during his jump shooting motion

The 2nd non-call would have granted Jaylen three free throws, of which he would have missed at least one, but probably two anyways.
