Yeah, he looks more like the player we are hoping for, even though not hitting the shots right now, and not with the dramatic flair. I'm OK with all that if he +21 on the floor and playing defense, getting the other players involved. He knows he has a chance to get some of that praise on D that Hugo and Walsh have gotten.

You could see it in summer league, he wasn’t hitting his shots then either, but I thought he was showing signs of being able to hold his own on defense. I think once he gets his defense down for a bit, his shots will go down more because he’ll know just how much energy he’ll have to exert on defense so that he’ll have something for offense. It’s very difficult to do both things well.

He’s trying to become a 3 and D guy, to get minutes on the Celtics. It’s pretty much the wing player’s role on this team and in this NBA.

That was one of the best things he did during this summer league. Everyone was complaining about him missing shots, but you could see he was taking steps in other areas.
