I think he is going to Maine. If his development goes well, he might be recalled to join the main team. It is going to be tough for him to get the 15th spot unless he has an outstanding training camp.

With Waters signed to a two-way, right now the battle for the 15th spot is Javonte Green vs. Tacko. My money is on Tacko, who will play all year at Maine.

Wtf happened there? Why do we need to sign Waters and strus for the 2-way contract, and leave Tacko unguaranteed?

because tacko and green will fight for the last roster spot. And then it's likely that the loser competes against Strus to get a 2 way contract.

I really hope tacko gets the last roster spot. I’d give one of the two way deal to Strus than Waters. We have the point guard covered with Kemba, Smart, Carsen and Wanamaker. We don’t need another one, especially an undersized pg, who won’t get any playing time here anyways.

I really don’t get the Tacko hype...I understand he’s a fan favorite and all that but he’s 7 ‘6 grabbed 7 boards a game in college and gets moved out of the way In the paint by guys a ft smaller than him. At best if everything breaks In his favor he’s a 10 mpg guy.

I understood the fascination during summer league and a reason to watch but he’s the ultimate project player. I don’t expect anything out of him

Isn't that what the 15th man on the roster should be?

The way people are clamoring for the 15th guy on the roster? Like fan boys? I guess sure

I agree. player 11-15th won’t get much playing time anyways except during garbage. might as well give the spot on guys we want to develop.

Get a player that is undrafted and can be useful in 5-10 mpg is something great taking into account the context, a lot of players selected in first and second round can't even do that, we had players like yabuseless, hunter, young, mickey and others that were horrible and useless even in those 5-10 mpg.

His growth from his senior year to where he was this summer was tremendous. The hope is that, with basketball being his full time job, he can develop into a solid rotation piece.

A 9’3 standing reach is tremendous for a big. Tacko has a standing reach thats one foot bigger— that affords him significant time in reaction/recovery that could greatly benefit him long term.

Hot take: both Tacko and Green make the team. I bet we trade Semi for a future 2. We need guys that are content not playing/being in Portland.

Maybe and if he can help the Celtics great....I predict his next contract after this is a 2 way contract for the wwe

At the end of the day, hes a complete lottery ticket. Personally, Id rather take a shot on a guy with never-before-seen measurable than another random guy

Why would you say that Tacko sucks?
All the other guys, Yes. But Tacko Fall? -- He's shown himself to be somewhat useful.

I think with the right training, he could be a decent Bench player.
