I think Celts wanted Kanter back because he did a good job defending Embiid in the 2020 playoffs.
On offense you need more than 10 total minutes to "seize it".
But on defense, 10 minutes is enough to determine if you know how to defend.
I mean they've been practicing on a regular basis and if he still can't figure it out, that means he's just not capable.
Kanter is at his best defending a big man in the low post.
If Kanter is forced to play switching defense then he'll get burned.
