He had one horrible game right? Now make him the 5th dude on an NBA team full of NBA talent. Yeah we’re not overrun with top talent anymore, but don’t mince words, our bench THIS season could probably beat Portugal by 10! (Could be disrespectful, I’m sorry, but what I have seen is yikes)

Queta with 15 and 3 rebounds today in the win vs Estonia.

Queta was ejected in the 3rd quarter for picking up his 2nd technical on an excessive celebration. Let them play ref.

Portugal's and Boston's center Neemias Queta talked to Cesare Milanti in Riga, Latvia, about the historic #Eurobasket run with his national team, and of course, the upcoming #NBA season with the Celtics.

Brief Mazzulla talk after the 9:30 mark.

Queta with 9 points, 5 rebs, 2 steals and a block in 11 minutes as Portugal surprisingly leads Germany by one point at the half. Queta also played good defense and hit another 3.

Germany has five players with NBA experience. The game is close because they're 1-18 from three.

edit: Queta opened the second half by making a hook shot.

Queta with another good game. 18 points and 11 rebounds.

It was a close game through 3 quarters. At the end of the 3rd, it was Germany leading 52-51. Then Germany outscored Portugal 33-7 in the 4th.

I love the 3's by Queta. Would like to see him utilize that more.

Other than the three, my favorite play today was one where nothing happened.

Superfast Shroeder was near the left corner above the three point line iso-ed with Queta on him. He probed with the dribble a few times, couldn't do anything, then just gave up getting around Queta and gave the ball up to a teammate.

My favorite part of the highlights was the alley oop to Queta where a foul was called because Daniel Theis was in the area. It was just like when he was here. (may have been a real foul, just the look on Theis face cracked me up, brought me back)

Don't like how low he's bringing the ball down, but the rest of the mechanics look pretty good. Like the feet.

Where are the "Bassey is better than Queta" people at? ;)
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

I bet Bassey's knee(s) is/are the issue(s)

He would have been picked up by someone by now.

Well my post was just (joking) and directed at the folks who said during SL that Bassey is better so I guess you're not the intended audience of the post. :)

With that being said, there's not enough roster spots for both..and probably too much overlap between them in terms of size, skill set, age, etc. to warrant carrying both..
