By not having success with the PnR, the timing is off and JT is forced to pass or has to shoot a contested shot.
JT has not yet figured out Thibs' defensive scheme in this series.
Hopefully in Game 4, JT figures it out.

When KAT is in the PnR - JT shot 2 uncontested 3s, as KAT sags off. JT needs to figure out again how to attack KAT and Brunson in isolation. Brunson has this matchup defensively and KAT is limiting his penetration
