Most disrespectful block of the season -- Kawhi blocked Murray's dunk attempt with the middle finger.

Clips just gotta take care of business and move on and make sure the Lakers don’t make the finals.

I’m okay with us beating the Lakers in the finals, though would prefer the fresh storylines of a series against the Clippers.

Don't go soft on me man! Every game they don't lose is a wasted opportunity.

Gasol fvf and serge are all unrestricted this off-season.

Serge over kanter for same money? Maybe.

Ibaka is making $23M this year. I doubt he goes all the way down to $5.5M.
But, he makes the 3, and is an improvement over Kanter.

Would be awesome if we got him for that price. He is like Theis on steroids.

FvV I knew about because dude is going to get a max offer from the Knicks

Safe to assume they'll undergo the same daily testing the players do?

When's the last time the NBA had a press release for covid test results of the players?

It's VanVleet (FVV) btw, but more importantly, you don't think Toronto re-signs him?? I would not count out Masai Ujiri for one minute. I think FVV gets the back and he, OG, and Pascal are the new core. I think Ujiri makes a run at Dipo maybe too. And they trade Lowry with one year left and bring in some new talent.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

so what team is taking on 40 year old lowry and giving up new talent?
How do they get dipo if they sign Van Fleet and replace Lowry's money? Everyone giving that guy exec god status. He traded a terrible max all star for top 3 player in the nba knowing he got him for just 1 year. I mean, I would have traded Kyrie for him looking back, but it sounds like Spurs declined that one too. I wouldn't have given up JB/JT for 1 year.

A few important distinctions:

1) Kyle Lowry is in fact 34, not 40
2) Again, his name is Fred VanVleet, not Van Fleet. There is only ONE F in his name. I promise. https://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/2991230/fred-vanvleet
3) After this season Gasol and Ibaka are free agents. They will only have 79M on the books after this season. They sign Dipo first and then re-sign fvV (not fvf) using Bird Right's.
4) As for Lowry, It's absolutely possible to find a secondary market for an experienced championship PG who is 34 and just finished leading the league in charges taken while avg 19/7.5/5 on a 1 year deal that potentially allows a team to maybe trade back some longer salaries of players that maybe don't fit as well longterm.

Masai Ujiri specifically made the deal to bring in Kawhi understanding that this year was on the otherside of it and a potential rebuild/retool was coming. And he arranged it so that he would have flexibility afterward. I don't know what "exec god" looks like but Ujiri has done a hell of a job.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

FV has made himself some money. Unfortunately for him the timing sucks because almost every team either has someone better than him, will draft a PG or are spending money at the position like the Knicks ($20 million towards DSJ, Payton, Ntilikina).

Gasol is done. He's 35 y/o and I wouldn't even bother signing him. But maybe someone throws him $6 million to be a veteran presence and injury insurance. So he'll likely have no shortage of suitors at that price which may drive up his demands but I can't see anyone spending too much.

Ibaka lived up to his last contract and is a very serviceable stretch 5. While he claims he's 31 y/o many believe he's closer to 34-35 y/o so that will scare teams from paying too much. But he should have more suitors than either FV or Gasol imo.

So that said, my guess is:

FV-DET 5 for $100 million. The one team not spending money on the position who has cap space and need for a young vet to lead their rebuild.
Gasol-LAL 2 for $6. It'll essentially be a one year deal
Ibaka-SAC 3 for $50 million. With Bagley injury and FA losses they need a big.

Giannis out for game 5, and I know they won without him, but they're probably screwed.

No Giannis. Heat will be more prepared today.

We really need to finish the Raptors in 6. Miami already with a one-day advantage once they win tonight.
