Nah they're team floater. off all the guys that play a lot of minutes, only bane is a really good shooter. Tyus jones is fine but he's backup pg so doesn't share much with JA. Rest is melton, kyle anderson, Jaren Jackson, adams, Clarke. Don't think any of those crack above 35%.

Konchar is dpretty good at it too.

Sure but he plays 17 min a game and takes less than 2 threes, won’t move the needle for stuff like this stat.

I absolutely LOVE the trio of Tatum, Smart and Rob. Just insane how good they all fit, imo.

I really really like Brown being the 4th guy, and am completely loving his fit overally with the other three, but if the right deal presented itself I would be willing to move him.

I just do not know what that deal would be.

Outside of the painfully obvious (Giannis, Durant) I ust dont know

George-No
Kawhi-No
Davis-No
Simmons-Hell No
Beal-No (worse defense, shooting worse, older, contract status)
Kat (Timelord has been great, so not sure the fit or reasoning for it)
Dame-no (Older, contract status, injury?)
Fox-No
Lavine-Yes, (cannot see why he is available unless he refuses to resign in offseason)
Harden-No
Butler-No (age)
Zion (not at this point)
KP (NO)

So that, to me would leave only draft compensation as the logical trade options. And that is a potential step back.

If a top 3 pick because available and Banchero or Smith is on the board and I had thought that Jaylen will ask out then I absolutely make that deal.

If I can get Ivey or to a lesser extent, Smith/Banchero as well as a young piece that fits the trio of Tatum/Smart/Timelord....then I have to think long and hard about that.

(admittedly, I am pretty high on Ivey as an NBA shooting guard)

Lets say Detroit offers a top 3 pick(Ivey) and Saddiq Bey...that is a hard one to say no to.
Another example would be if Houston has the pick and Ivey is on the board I offer Jaylen for Ivey and Sengun,.
Orlando with a pick for Ivey and Wagner
Kings for Barnes and Ivey

Yeah the only way you trade Jaylen is if it’s too good of a deal to pass up. Maybe in a year that changes, but for now, gotta try for the Smart/Beal/Jaylen/Tatum/Rob dream.

I don't disagree with that at all. A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush

That is a lethal af team, especially if Beal helps out by insisting he wants here.

The cheat here is I think there is more good trades for Jaylen than most. I don’t necessarily need a star back, just a couple of really good players and picks.

Ivey and a starter would be pretty cool.
ie: Saddiq Bey and Detroit pick for Ivey

Smart
Ivey
Tatum
Bey
Timelord

Bey isn't going anywhere.

Separately, if we really think this team has a run in them, the time is now. Rest of this month has a lot of winnable games. Would love to see them rip of 6 out of their next 7 here and then get some rest around the ASB.

I would assume not, but Brown is a dollar when the pick and Bey are 2 50 cent pieces.

I don't want to get too high off this 3 game win streak, but I just looked at the Feb schedule and started salivating

Detroit (3 games), Orlando (1), Pacers (1), Nets (2)

If they stay on this path we could be in decent shape. Or just send us right back into full depression.

It's a coin toss.
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
Over the last 15 games, the net ratings are stupid.

Smart +24.9 in 9 games, and they have just a +1.9 when he sits.
Tatum +17.4 in 15 games, and -7.6 when he sits. That is some Jokic like impact.
Rob +17.1 in 13 games, and just +1.2 when he sits.
Jaylen +9.0 in 15 games, and +14 when he sits. I think the +14 is just because him and Tatum stagger minutes, and Tatum led lineups are just destroying.
Horford +9.1 in 15 games, and +11.1 when he sits.

The Tatum number reflects what I said last night, he’s figuring out how to dominate games even if not shooting well. Averaging 27/8/5 on a 60% TS in that time, as well lol.

The Smart number is just insane lol, smaller sample though.

I'm starting to get excited about this team. The defense we were hoping for in the preseason has shown up as good or better than expected. Offense rounding into form. Tatum has improved his strength, ability to draw FTs and passing / playmaking. The starting 5 is posting ridiculous on / off numbers. We have at least 2 solid bench guys in Grant and J Rich. Don't discount Kanter making an impact in a playoff series either.

Tatum is in the 100th percentile in scoring gravity,
only trails Jokic, Giannis, and Embiid. Ahead of Trae, Steph, KD, Luka, whoever.

Basically, that explains why our offense falls off a cliff when he sits, from 111.3 to 101.7. Also confirms what most know, that the defense completely sells out against him and tries to make everyone else beat them. And we’re watching him unlock what he’s able to do with that gravity.

Where’s the trade deadline fall in that seven game stretch? If we could win 5 of those I’d buy that we’re turning a corner

Nets have two games left before trade deadline, both on the road -- UTA, DEN
Cs have two games left before trade deadline, both on the road -- DET, ORL

The Cs game @ Nets comes after the deadline.
