Not gonna lie. I get it, Gallo isn't great on D. But man, it sure seems like every time we've played the hawks the last 2 years they have been a thorn in our side, they have played us tough, often beating us..and it seems like every time Gallo has been a really solid scorer/shooter for them off the bench.

He's a veteran. Just knows how to play the game. Savvy veteran, like white savvy. Gallo seems like a tough, hard nosed dude too, who doesn't back down from anybody. He plays with a little swagger.

getting him at the TPMLE could be a steal. He should have 2 more good years left in him. Let's see if he can help us win a ring in that 2 years..

With Gallo being a sieve, I wonder if the Celtics will remain a top 4 defensive team next year. I doubt Ime will give up enough minutes to impact the defense that much though.

Gallo is playing 20-25 mpg. Not a problem.

Well team must be sticking their nose into a potential deal or three otherwise why not just make Gallo a pending signing.

He must really want to be here if he’s willing to wait it out.

No, I don't think you play Grant at the 3..

if we get thomas bryant, I expect theis to be a gonner. It doesn't make sense to pay $9 mil a year for a 3rd string center. if we can get a guy who is comparable to theis for the veterans minimum, you do it and you flip theis for a guard or wing..

Bryant is third string until proven otherwise. He won’t immediately beat out Theis

It's a shame he's demanding the full MLE because we could just trade for his rights and sign him to the TMLE otherwise.

Problem with trading Theis is OKC already has a roster crunch and isn't planning for Micic to play for them so adding Theis just adds to it.

Maybe if we took back 2-3 guys they don't want into the TPE (Green/Jerome plus someone else). They could do 3 for 1 swap and we get Micic plus fill out back-end of the bench.

Also he thinks the Spurs are a play-off caliber team. Sensing BBIQ issues.

I haven't seen him play much, but what's wrong with Montrezl Harrell (other that the mishap below)? Is this someone the Celtics would consider?

(Two of Charlotte's FA's are having run ins with the law, of them being a class A a-hole. Interesting coincidence.)

He's almost Kanter-esque. Offensive big that can't stretch the floor and a bit of a liability on defense. Not sure there's a fit.

Gallo a legit sniper, just can’t be overly reliant on him in the playoffs. Definitely can give us a good 15-20 a night in the regular season though.

I thought Porter and especially Payton were big for GS. They weren’t the only thing that changed but I thought the series really turned for the worse around when GS defense tightened up when Payton got back.

Wouldn’t surprise me if they are the landing spot for DDV.

All this talk about KD wanting to go to the Suns and Nets capitulating to the Sun's pu pu platter doesn't make sense. Not simply because Durant still has 4 years left on his deal and may not have as much leverage, but also Nets gave the Rockets a lot for the Harden trade to make Durant happy. Nets management have certainly enough to go back at Durant and say we got to look out for this organization too.

The Brooklyn Nets acquired James Harden in a blockbuster four-team trade Wednesday. The team added another star player while making Kevin Durant happy in the process, as ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski explained on The Woj Pod.

"This was something Kevin Durant very much wanted," Wojnarowski (h/t RealGM). "He and Harden started talking about this months ago."

If KD gets dealt to Phoenix, he'll probably request a trade, after Golden State beats them in the playoffs next year. KD, Kyrie, Harden and Simmons are some mercurial guys.

Gallo is a nice addition and fits a team need of offense off the bench. Plus he’s a vet on a pretty young team which also helps. Bryant would be a nice pick up too.

Btw what else I love about the Gallo signing? It shows Brad/Ime are flexible, and willing to sign different types of players.

Any player you get with 6.5M will have flaws. Teams are throwing out 10+M left and right to role players. We wanted vet presence and bench scoring. Gallo gives them both, gotta live with his defense. Seeing Bjelica survive out there in the finals, I don’t think it will be that big of a problem
