It’s not one year guaranteed though, he would sign long term 100%. They just jumped the gun with saying “LAKERS ONLY” now they need to back pedal a bit.

Yeah just like Paul George was 100% going there this year and at the end of the day didn't even take a meeting. A lot can change in one year. Dude could hate LA..could hate Lebron or Magic..It's not 100% until that signature is on that piece of paper..I wouldn't trade that package for him even if he flat out told me he would resign. I think ddb said there was interest in Boston now by Kawhi.

Now this is making him sound like he has an ego and doesn't want anyone good around him. Hell if he had wanted to be a hero on a shaky team he could have joined the Spurs in the playoffs and helped to try to beat the Curry less Warriors who at the time looked pretty vulnerable.

No. LeBron is not even remotely close to the same type of PERSON as Irving/Hayward. It has a lot more to do with the media attention and scapegoating that comes with playing with LeBron than it does being "the main guy."
