I don't have knowledge to that effect. There are more than a few big fish out there right now where that might play a role in how things shake out this summer.

Always had a bad feeling KD wanted to upgrade from the 31 year old Steph with the younger cuter version.

He hasn't looked like he has slept well for months TBH.
I thought he was leaving most of February. Then I got optimistic again.
But I think the writing on the wall for me is when he went back to kissing Lebron's ring. That was very VERY shocking.........he actually bowed back down to Lebron James.
I thought for sure though in the Indy series this was going really well? Unless Indy is just ass.

Wow. Reload bomb of the year.
Time to blow this s*** up
As ive been saying. Kyrie is gone. This is going to be a very disappointing offseason. No cap room to replace him at all.

Steph is kinda gross looking, always was.
I also knew Kyrie was slacking this series since he got no haircut and shave. When he's serious, he gets groomed. He happened btw to groom up before the ASG for KD.
At the very least I deserved to see Kyrie go out here with a fresh haircut.

Re: The Kyrie support thread - he still bleeds green
So if KD is out with a significant injury what does Kyrie do now? Does he still go to NYK? BRK?
This entire thing is just so odd. Why did he just quit like that? He had a great 1st round and then he just gave up. Thats some weak sauce. I really thought he was going to be the next great Celtic, but he clearly doesn’t have the heart for it. Can you imagine PP ever putting in a performance like this?

Yeah...no chance without a star
Ainge will make an AD trade even no Kyrie.
How's this team:
Rozier/Smart
Brown
Hayward
Horford/Mook
Davis
That's probably what we would look at with shooters off the bench of Kyrie Leaves.
I wonder if we would have enough to trade a Tatum based package for Davis and a Brown based package for Bradley Beal. Hayward would have to go in one of them to match salaries..
Smart, Beal, Morris, Horford, Davis..Baynes, Semi and a few vets off the bench. Could be a good alternative route to losing Irving.

It's not just about NY. Both LA teams too.
I was always worried about Lebron.

Well there's KD, Kawhi, AD and Zion. Am I missing anyone? Do we count Butler?
I imagine if Kyrie can team up with either KD or Kawhi in NY or LAC then he's gone. It's hard to imagine him not having one of those options.
Reload is talking about it like it's a foregone conclusion and I've seen some reports on twitter, not sure how credible, that we don't even want him back. I think something went very wrong between game 3 and game 5.

Depends what AD's bitch ass wants too. He wants LA or NY apparently like the rest of them.

Am I the only one who wouldn’t be surprised if he retires ? He has said before that he want to retire early at around 29/30. He’s already 27 & he just looks like he’s lost that love for basketball ever since he realised he wasn’t someone who could lead a team.

Kyrie said early to mid 30's for retirement. But I am sure he is not the type who will stick around too long.
He's not done now. He's the healthiest he's been in years. He just turned 27. Hell just watch too, if he goes to LA or NY like we presume.....suddenly the dude will start getting more calls too on the court, especially playing with another NBA golden boy or two. Mark my words.
He had the 4th highest selling jersey in the NBA this season despite his drama. He will sell a lot in those markets. Maybe make another movie or two. Maybe be in the finals again.
If anyone should retire it's Gordon Hayward. He has 3 daughters, a beautiful wife and I am sure Trump could use more campaign managers.
Yes that was a nasty comment I just made but I am bitter tonight.

Re: The Kyrie support thread - he still bleeds green
I still want Kyrie to remain a Celtic. But there are a few stipulations that should go along with resigning him.
First get some quality veterans for the end of the bench, a former all star who need barely minutes but deserves respect when he talks (example: Pau Gasol UFA). Or journeymen who were respected roleplayers their whole career and are known to be good lockerroom guys (exapmle: Taj Gibson UFA, Thabo Sefolosha UFA).
Secondly sort out the roster, we can't have 5-6 guys looking for the ball. That is something that should happen regardless of Kyrie. We can't have multiple players on the roster who all want more shots and then be unhappy about their situation wether its privately or publicly.
Finally i think in order to get the best Kyrie version i think we need a former player (not necessarily a former Celtic) on the coaching staff who can relate to Kyrie and moderate his moods. A player who retired recently and wants to get into coaching.
Most of these things should happen wether Kyrie stays or goes, but if a good foundation is built Kyrie can thrive here i wholeheartely belive. His skills are unquestionable, his flaws too, but most of his flaws are managable because they don't have anything to do with his talent but with the mind.
Just my 2 cents.
