I love getting Bryant, but it’s going to be a 1-year deal and if he plays as well as he can it’s a rental

I think PP gets moved. Danilo will probably be our worst defender in the rotation

(Two of Charlotte's FA's are having run ins with the law, of them being a class A a-hole. Interesting coincidence.)
He's almost Kanter-esque. Offensive big that can't stretch the floor and a bit of a liability on defense. Not sure there's a fit.
Thank you. Kind of like Gallinari then. Not ideal to have more than one of those specimens on a roster like this.

We have plenty of defense. We need guys who can put the ball in the basket and hit open 3’s. Gallo fits that bill, nice pickup

Let me be the first to say: Boston signed a white player? Shocking.

He must really want to be here if he’s willing to wait it out.
He has to be released and clear waivers before he can sign anything or we can talk about it
Well it’s either tentative and Boston is still in the mix for Collins/Durant, or…. They are totally out on those guys and it’s a firm deal.
No way they would have a spot for Gallo if those guys were at all on the table, they’d need depth elsewhere.

He wants a ring. He knows he's got a better shot at a ring here. Let's go!
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

Would be amazing, but I don't think he's quick enough for that.
No, I don't think you play Grant at the 3..
if we get thomas bryant, I expect theis to be a gonner. It doesn't make sense to pay $9 mil a year for a 3rd string center. if we can get a guy who is comparable to theis for the veterans minimum, you do it and you flip theis for a guard or wing..
Bryant is third string until proven otherwise. He won’t immediately beat out Theis
Theis is the 3rd string. Rob and Al are the first 2 stringers at center.
Every other team has 1 or 2 centers in their rotation - none have 3. Makes no sense to pay $9 mil a year for a 3rd string center. Again, if Bryant can be comparable to Theis, then Bryant is solid as a 3rd string center and you flip Theis..
This was 3 weeks ago:
Looks pretty skilled for a big..

Yep, can see Pritchard and/or Nesmith getting packaged with Theis to a team with cap space.

41% from three the last four seasons, on around 1400 attempts.
Any time he’s in the game with Tatum, it’s going to be nonstop open threes.

Yes how dare he use the full MLE available to them to sign Gallinari!

bucknersrevenge wrote:I think we end of with Gallo but it may just take longer than we expected. Much like the situation last year with Schroder, my suspicion right now (and that's all it really is at the moment) is that Brad wants Gallo but not for the years and money that Gallo wants us. He knows that Gallo wants to come here because he likes the role he could play with this team. He'd probably be a 28-30mpg player here next year. But after next year Brad may not be ready to commit more years. Perhaps Brad is offering a team option 2nd year where Gallo wants both years guaranteed. So Brad left the contract at his door to go shopping around the league with. I totally buy Brad's refusal to bid against himself regarding MLE targets. That's what we saw last year. He knows Wyc isn't Steve Ballmer here.
So to sum up, Gallo probably already has an offer from us but he's waiting to sign it to see if some other team will offer him better than can offer the role, on a title contending team that can give him more money. More than likely, Brad has already done his homework here and we're just waiting for Gallo to figure out what Brad already knows.
Well I'll be go to hell. It's almost like I know what I'm talking about sometimes. Well, I said team option. Maybe they compromised and said Player option instead. But I'll take it anyways.

Re: 100 Pages & Running: The FA/Trade Thread.
C’s have the shot blocking down low to help with Gallo’s lateral defense. We legit need this dude to sit on the wing and hit open shots. Solid pickup
