And at this point in his career, RJ Hunter was an All Star. Let's give RWIII more than 2 weeks before coming to any conclusions about where he's going in life.
The kid -- and he's a kid, quite obviously -- goofed, twice. He needs to grow up fast, but that's what the Celtics coaching staff and the team's veterans are there to help him with -- not through coddling but by challenging him to be a man and good teammate.
Exactly. Every kid makes mistakes. If you got talent and don't screw up too badly, you'll keep getting chances though. Hopefully he'll get there eventually because we really can use his skills.
Listen. I hope whatever backlash he got works. I am bullish on the talent.
One thing ya’ll got to consider, vets have no obligation to teach. Horford will, because he is that good a guy. But i am sure theis, Baynes and definitely not mook will “teach” the kid.
Kyrie won’t either.
Nba is not for teaching how to live. And, he isn’t a kid. He is 20 years old. There are 20 years old in the workforce. He has 2 years of college.
Youth isn’t an excuse.

He provides what the celtics don't currently have, and that is Shot blocking, and a rebounder, a good rebounder. He makes the team but gets limited minutes in the range of 10- 15 while he learns the NBA.

I agree with you.. Lot of bad habits can be picked up in Maine.. He needs to be on the roster.

I think he needs both. He needs to be around Tatum, Brown, Horford as much as possible but he also needs to play in real games. I think he’ll spend some time in Maine early on just because of roster crunch. If he doesn’t need to..... fantastic.
He should be playing important minutes in every game he is healthy.Parliament10 wrote:sam_I_am wrote:Tiny ball wrote:I agree with you.. Lot of bad habits can be picked up in Maine.. He needs to be on the roster.

I'm with that. -- He needs both. -- That's what the G-League is for.
Give him some reps down there, and shoot him back to the 3rd String.
If there are any injuries or opportunities, then he'll be ready.

This shows that they plan on him making the team, and want to keep him healthy as best as they can.
